Johan is a top bloke.
Soft spoken knowledgeable salt of the earth. I enjoyed my stalk with him immensely.
Johan if you are reading this please know that those hours of walking with you for that elusive impala were immensely enjoyable.

Fine it was an enjoyable experience hunting with Nate and Manish.

However since these guys have written their comments I believe I need to chip in with the other side of the story.

Bad points or cons of hunting with these blokes:

Bad for morale and self esteem. One loses confidence in oneself.

Nate- with his generosity made me feel like a penny pinching miser. His warmth makes me feel like Scrooge. With his knowledge makes me feel like an illiterate ignoramus.

Mani- I’m supposed to be the funny one and mister popular. He stole my thunder.
Mr army sniper school makes one feel like a back alley plinker with his marksmanship.
He actually hit the thumbtack of the target at 96 yards.
His good nature makes me feel like a grumpy old sod.

Also, due to these two having been to Africa before and having done research etc made me lazy; did everything for me. Paperwork, emails, permits, talking to guides etc, getting deals, shopping, taxidermy, import permits, gun shipping etc etc.
Now the future hunts will feel like a chore because I might not have people to do all the legwork for me.

So beware guys if you want to join these two for a hunting trip.
You have been warned.

@dabloobana Bhai your getting me into water fowling in the UK and on some very good grounds. Not to mention one of us in the group needs to be level headed I know that isnt me . On the website for the US distributor, they have a video on how to deploy them yourself. It's actually pretty easy with a little practice. In the field with a PH and tracker, they are generally quickly spread for the hunter to get in position. I did not buy the lightweight model which weighs a few ounces less than the standard. I was amazed at how light they actually were. Once you are rested on the sticks, it is incredibly steady.
Recently, I took my .338-06 to the range. Out of curiosity, I targeted the 8" steel gong at 200 yards and hit it 2 for 2. These will be going with me, one way or another, on all of my future hunts.

I purchased a set of very similar sticks called Viper-Flex after using them in the UK on a roebuck/muntjac hunt. This stick style is much, much more stable than using a tripod and pretty easy to set up in the field when you get the hang of it. I'll use them on every hunt going forward. They are expensive ($469 shipped for the "Journey" carbon fiber version with the fifth leg as I recall) but buy them once, use them forever!

Viper flex are the bees knees.
At the time when this was written, I had only heard about them.
however after having used them on CWD etc, I am now a proud owner and believe me are they stable or what.
