I just returned home from my Hunter with Trompeters Fontein.
My experience was exceptional, great communication via email with Bob prior to my arrival. I see notes that the responses are slow, my suggestion is to give it time, he always responded within 24 hours.
Upon arrival at the airport Marius was there to pick me up, since I arrived early in the day we had the opportunity to take a look at the rifles, they had available since I had chosen to shot theirs rather than carry a personally owned rifle through the customs and importation headache. I recommend this as an option as it sure made travel in and out of SA simple. They also had a plenty wide selection of rifles so I of course went with the 375 H&H for good measure. While verifying zero on the rifles, they also asked if I was interested in a cross bow, I was so we shot it as well. They have a lot of great blinds set up for Bow hunting, the cross bow made for great work and I ended up shooting most of my trophies with the cross bow.
I had a great hunt from breakfast, to the blinds, some spot and stalk, lunch, spot and stalk, blinds, dinner, drinks, campfire, drinks, desert, drinks, and repeat again the next day until it unfortunately had to come to an end.
I was also fortunate to complete my planned hunt, with some additional animals in a short 4 days, which was outstanding since I had an ulterior motive to make an added trip to Kruger National Park while in the country. It is good to mention that a few days in Marius had a family emergency and needed to leave, so Johan nephew of Bob's came in to guide me through the second half of the hunt. Since Johan was with me for the final 2 days of hunting he agreed to take me on a 3 day trip to Kruger, through Kruger and back to the airport. Amazing experience with some great guys.
