I have hunted plains game with him. He has contacts with some concessions there. Clarify anything beforehand with him.

Research carefully. Seems to me like there has been some controversy in the past with that name. Search function here as well as the other network may be helpful. Then again it could be someone else I'm thinking of.

I think you're thinking of Theo Blignaut.

No idea what, if any, relationship JD has. As previously stated, research any outfitter carefully. And if you find smoke..... :A Outta:

Did you ever find out any info ?. I have been contacted by same outfitter. Says he lives in Texas now but goes back and forth.

Yes. Prices were much higher than posted ones, farms too small. He said farm owners went up. Got a much greater deal from outfitter that has over 22Ha that he owns himself. I’m booked for March.

Can you tell me who you booked with and how to contact. This other outfitter has called me on the phone, texted me pictures of beautiful trophy animals. He has given me some decent pricing but really no bank account info for a deposit or if my money will be safe. Also only saw 2 reviews. The person I spoke to said they lease land in East Land Cape I think it was called. That he had a 30,000 ace ranch and and 10'000 ace ranch available. There was a dispute years ago and the property hasn't been hunted since until just recently.

I booked with Huntershill Safaris. huntershillsafaris.co.za
Highly recommended by Keith Warren of The High Road show on The Pursuit Channel. Youtube carries several of his shows filmed at Huntershill. The owner is Greg Harvey. gregh@queen.co.za

His prices are very good. I hope he is a honest hard working PH. So many places over there and you never know what you will run into until you go. I have looked at bowhunting with him

Huntershill has good references. They have been expanding. You should have a great hunt. Looks forward to a report.

Is huntershill the same as gray ghost Safaris? They both have the same trophy pictures and the description of the place sounds the same.

No. They are an agency.

I've hunted with Huntershill and was more impressed than I can put into words! I'm certain you'll have a fantastic time!

The best advice I can give is to check whether he is a member of PHASA. If he is and you have problems then you have recourse via them. If he isn't then
caveat emptor. After writing this I thought I would check for you. I couldn't find a record of either the hunter nor the company as a member of PHASA.

@Mac Baren, I live central to city of Cincinnati. I have work travel early this week but could hopefully meet later this week (with no schedule changes). What area of town are you working/staying in?
Kind regards
Ron
