SOUTH AFRICA: Frontier Safaris Eastern Cape - First Safari Hunt Report

Congrats on your hunt, and thanks for sharing !

You must have had more open terrain. We had no issue getting under 200 for the most part, and often that was closer to 100.
Some parts are pretty wide open with more sparse cover, others are thick. Just my luck I reckon. We did have multiple animals come to within range of the lever gun, they just weren't the quality we were after. I could have walloped 2 different warthogs at about 60 yards if they had been the right one.

2 buffalo (both 40ish), zebra (50), warthog (40), black wildebeest (60)... and there was plenty more in range.

Don't give up the dream! And congrats on this trip.

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
