My first Safari was back in September. I hunted with Huntershill Safaris in the Eastern Cape and had a great time. I wanted to share a few trophy pics and hope to add some information on the hunt in the days to come. Of all the animals I was blessed to harvest the Red Hartebeest was my favorite and I am told that the bull I took was a very big hartebeest. I have trouble on judging hartebeest and haven't received my trophies back yet, but wanted to see what you all thought of him.

Nice pics. Don't know much about Hartebeest either, but it looks like they were all nice. I really like the wide Kudu, and nice Bushbuck. And from my limited knowledge that is a huge Steenbok. Congrats on a great first trip,
When you going back??

all those trophies look awesome!

Congrats, you did well! Thanks for sharing

Congrats! those are some awesome animals can't wait to hear the rest of the story. Looks to me like you made a trip to the Rockland farm. Well done

Great pics. Congratulations

Congrats on your hunt, nice trophies, and that hartebeest is certainly a very good one (y)

Great trophies. I’m looking at going with them next year, how many days did you hunt?

Wow! Well done on your safari! That's quite a bag!

Congrats

I hunted 7 days, but had 10 of the 11 animals by the end of day 4. The kudu took a couple of days because it was the end of the season and most of the big bulls had either been shot or were hiding out.

Yes I was at Rockland for 3 days but didn't take an animal there. I was only looking for Kudu at that point and we couldn't find anything big. I took my Kudu about 20 minutes from there on a cattle farm.

Thank you. Looking to go back in 2019 for Lechwe and Nyala plus black wildebeest, black springbok, warthog, common duiker, baboon, white blesbok... and maybe a couple other critters if they show up.

Congrats, looks like you had a great hunt.

I can't wait to get there. Leave inside of 54 day's 21hours for my first time. With photos like these. Gets my heart beat going. Have alot of the same animals on my list with them.

Congrats! I really love that steenbok! It's nice and heavy, a very underrated animal. All of your animals are great trophies!

I agree with you. The red beast is amazing. Nickname him Harley for long handlebars

Hello Doug,
I am Philippe from France and plan to go hunting Caprivi in 2026, Oct.
I have read on AH you had some time in Vic Falls after hunting. May I ask you with whom you have planned / organized the Chobe NP tour and the different visits. (with my GF we will have 4 days and 3 nights there)
Thank in advance, I will appreciate your response.
Merci
Philippe

Hi Walden. Good morning from England, Chris here (The Englishman!) from Croatia. Firstly it was a pleasure to meet you and Michelle - a fellow Sanderson! I have finally joined AH as I enjoy it very much. Glad you enjoyed the hunt and your write up which I read on AR was very good indeed. I am sending on WhatsApp pics from Bojan of some of the animals hunted recently. Take care and best regards. CS.
