SOUTH AFRICA: Bos en Dal SAFARIS June 6-28, 2021

As I sit here on flight back to states I am reflecting back on the last 21 days.

Gerrit and the Bos en Dal team are great! I had the opportunity to hunt with all the PHs on this trip. Either one on one with them or they were backup on the my 3 DG hunts. All are great to hunt with and be around, we are like family now.

The food is to die for! Elna will cook and feed you more than anyone can possibly eat. The desserts are over the top.

Hunting is challenging with the diversity of terrain on main farm. Elevation change as much as 1000 feet. From the bottom of the sandy black valley up to the top of mountain.
Thick brush to open cleared areas. Game is all self sustaining herds. Impala every where with great trophy animals. The Kudu are great in numbers with me seeing around 15-18 shooter bulls in the 21 days I was there. Blue Wildabeest bulls are plentiful. I took a 28 inch bull and we saw and stalked bulls bigger than it but never connected on one.

The lodge has just been remodeled and new bedroom additions and is super comfortable.

I am already planning next years hunt with the Bos en Dal team.

If anyone has any questions about Bos en Dal feel free to PM me.

Thanks for following along!

Looks like a miserable experience !!!!! Congratulations…. By the looks of those meals, you may have packed on a few pounds!

I really enjoyed following along your hunting trip. Congrats on all the magnificent trophies you harvested!

Great report and hunt that old buff cow is really nice and they are fun to hunt sometimes or most of the time harder to hunt than bulls.

Congrats and happy birthday! Sounds like a fantastic hunt.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
