We just returned from a 7-day safari with @GAME 4 AFRICA SAFARIS and I can honestly say it was the most complete and memorable hunting experience of my life. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
We started strong on day one, taking a dream kudu bull and a beautiful golden wildebeest. Day two was one of the highlights of the entire trip—taking an old, heavy-bossed Cape buffalo in an unforgettable, heart-pounding hunt, followed by a great waterbuck.
On day three, we kicked things off with a challenging and rewarding bushbuck hunt that required patience and persistence. We followed that with several springbok of different varieties, which made for a fun and action-packed afternoon.
One of the most remarkable parts of this safari was how every property we hunted felt completely unique, like starting a new adventure each day. Midway through the week, we traveled to Game 4 Africa’s North Lodge, set in rugged mountain country with stunning ridges and open vistas. The terrain was completely different, and hunting gemsbok and mountain reedbuck up on the rocky ridges was an experience I’ll never forget. Seeing bushman paintings in caves right there on the property was an awesome experience! The North Lodge itself had a more rustic, authentic bush feel, but it was incredibly comfortable and charming, perfectly matching the rugged beauty of the area.
We wrapped up the week with a series of great plains game animals—hartebeest, a big lechwe bull, tsessebe, zebra, and a couple of great impalas. Every day felt like a fresh experience, in new country, chasing new species—something I’ve never had happen on a single safari before.
When we weren’t hunting, we had the opportunity to visit a local orphanage and donate meat from our animals. Spending time with the children and seeing the impact firsthand was incredibly humbling and meaningful.
While the hunting was second to none, Woodvale Lodge was an absolute standout for us, especially for my wife. Woodvale is nothing short of luxurious—beautifully designed, peaceful, and surrounded by breathtaking views of the bush. The rooms, the decor, the food, and the hospitality were all first class. My wife loved every minute we spent there, whether relaxing with a glass of wine on the deck or enjoying the gourmet meals prepared by the amazing kitchen staff.
I’ve hunted with several PHs over the years, but Wik is the best I’ve ever hunted with. He’s a true professional—skilled, patient, and committed to delivering a world-class experience. His wife Brittany and the entire Game 4 Africa team were outstanding—warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The service, the food, and the overall experience were truly top-notch.
If you’re looking for a safari that delivers unmatched variety, world-class hunting, and luxury accommodations, I can’t recommend Game 4 Africa highly enough. We’re already talking about when we can come back.
Thank you again to Wik, Brittany, and the entire team for giving us a trip we will never forget!
