source for Merkel side by side 20 gauge shotgun

Dear all:

Once again I turn to this site for advice. I am in search of a new 20gauge side by side double trigger Merkel shotgun (I am a huge Merkel fan and have a 12 gauge SXS and a Merkel double rifle) . Finding a source to simply order a new gun is proving to be a challenge. The Merkel web site lists "T&G German Gun Imports " as their US distributor but they do not answer the phone or emails. I also tried Pacific Sporting Arms in California with similar non-response. The Cabela's gun room people tell me they are no longer Merkel dealers. So...does anyone know of a source beyond just random searches on Gun sale sites ???

I hope I save you some time and frustration…T&G themselves are great to deal with, I purchased a combination gun from them a few years ago. However, when I asked about a base model 40e in 12g, the “Merkel Guy” associated with T&G responded back with a price list that started at $12k. I responded to this asking a few more questions, making sure the pricing I received was for a base model. All I got were crickets after that.

My recommendation is to buy used. They come up for auction on a regular basis.
