Some random pictures we took while in RSA

Fantastic Impala and great shot. I do believe it is dust though, or potentially condensation if the shot passed thru the lungs and it was a cold morning. Bullets (not sure on tracers) don't leave smoke trails thru tissue at distance (at short range you may get residual ignition from muzzle flash that causes burning on tissue/hair ).

Either way, great timing on the shot and a gorgeous animal.

It was a chilly morning and a lung shot so it could be condensation im not sure. It could be dust as well. Just not sure of where the dust would come from unless it was on the impala since this was right as the bullet struck.

When its dry dust gets kicked up very easily and settle on everything...that and Impala's like taking a rest in the cool shade and pick up the dust on their coat.;)

Great pics, thanks for sharing !

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
