SAME DNA as the Northern variety.

Never disputed that.
Just like a grizzly and a brown bear share the same DNA or a
Shiraz moose and an Alaskan moose.
If you read my comment you quoted I actually make mention that it is just a Kudu but has different colouring.

Those are some extremely nice animals and as the landowner you should most certainly be quite proud. Most people can't appreciate the effort it takes, not to mention the patience involved in managing for quality wild game.

I had the privilege of hunting the East Cape myself for my first trip in 2015 and took a very nice 53" EC Kudu and 31" Black Wildebeest hunting with Doc Hayward at DonkerKloof and anyone who has not hunted that part of the country before really should try and find a way to work it in.

The Karoo and East Cape have a very special kind of beauty all their own and seem to be filled with just few really great people.

I swear if not for speaking Afrikaans instead of Spanish I felt like I was right back at home growing up in Eastern and Central New Mexico in the sixties and seventies. That area seems to almost be frozen in time.

Can't wait to get back.
