Skin cancer

I’ve had 4 of the Moh’s surgeries. Each cheek and each hand. Not a lot of fun. Same deal with the nitrogen plus the periodic skin peels. My wife teases me that I’m getting face lifts!
Heal fast from yours. Keep the sunscreen on!

Every 3 months for me. I have dermatologists that I regularly see in Alaska, Louisiana and Texas.

From fair skinned people like myself , getting checked is essential.

I’m a fair-skinned redhead who has had multiple bad sunburns as a kid and young adult. I am assuming this is in my future. My sister is the same complexion as me and had cancer removed from the side of her face with the same procedure as @WAB that left quite a scar.
I hope everything goes well for you @Dr Ray

Please get checked

Lots of us fight the nasty stuff. So far mine have all been the basal cell variety requiring only small cuts. My dermatologist seems to have a large and freshly loaded pressure can of liquid nitrogen awaiting me every six months to zap solar keratoses. I look like I was hit with a load of no. 6 shot when I walk out.

Keep staying on top it!

That has been my case. All those years of fishing in FL has finally caught up with me. Thank God the little bit of Central American Native blood has helped me. :ROFLMAO:

Maybe a claim of sword fight ;)
Every 6 months for me and she finds some every time. Shot of nitrogen for most but I've had several Mohs go rounds. What looks like a small dot wnds up with a 2 inch or longer incision and a lot of digging. All those years of working outside shirtless in shorts.

Yes lifteime of outside work for me as well with no hat and very often no shirt either. Had numerous nitrogen shots over the years and get checked regular now.

I used to get spots burnt off with nitrogen every 6 months, mostly from fishing exposure. I haven't needed to in four years or so. My wife makes natural creams for the ladies and she does one for me and my buddies. Kigelia is well known (sausage tree fruit extract) and it works quite well. Then came a few extra ingredients and the power of this stuff increased exponentially. You rub in into the area really thoroughly once a day and by the third day the spot is gone. Catch them early and they never get to the cutting stage.
We don't sell this commercially, would open can's of worms. Just give it away. If you are in the neighbourhood pop in for a coffee and collect some.

I had jet black hair but am very fair

That’s on my right forearm
@Dr Ray
I know the feeling mate. A couple of Yeats ago I had one cut out of my left forearm. Didn't want it done at the time and asked the doctor if it would be OK to leave a couple of years as you could only just see it.
He said fine leave it a couple of years it will be easier to take out then. I said good.
He replied yes dead people don't need anaesthetic.
I got it removed the little bit was only the tip. 15 stitches later and a big crater and he had it done.
Now I get checked yearly unless I find something that bothers me then it's sooner. Better a few scars than a funeral.
Bob

Get well soon!

@Dr Ray - I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery.

Skin cancer sucks. I'm not ready to open up beyond that, but suffice to say that I know more than I want to on this subject.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
