Show Us Your Reloading Bench

There are some really nice benches in here. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one here that loads ammo.

Here's a few pics of my bench and bookcase in my gun room. I have 2 big safes in it and a 6' bench to work on and clean guns on the opposite wall from my bench. I use the closet for gun cases, hunting clothes, storing ammo, a box of holsters and other crap.

View attachment 339478 @CoElkHunter - Ha! Beat this! Organized chaos. And it does double duty as a welding table...
If I had a bigger bench I bet I could beat that! I didn’t even take a photo of all the coffee cans full of brass on shelves next to my mess! BTW, what to do with brass I’ll no longer reload?

Ya see, this is why I can't find crap on eBay and Craig's List.
YOU GUYS ARE HOARDING IT!!!
Or maybe reloading is an addiction that is just passed down from generation to generation.
I like it.

Also like how people are being inspired to make improvements to their loading area.

I've never reloaded and the first few times I gave away brass for the price of shipping.
The Department of Finance put a stop to that and made me ask for something in return.
So I sold it wicked cheap to members here.
Matter of fact, I'll bet there is brass we shot in some of these photos. (y)
I think that's pretty cool.

Also, I'm guessing we all need "a bigger bench".

After seeing all of these fine, organized reloading setups, I now have a new mission ahead of me: Organize my mess! Ha! Ha!

I was told by someone early on that the messier your reloading bench is, the smaller groups you'll shoot. At least that's what I tell myself!

Your best bet for reloading stuff is Gunbroker or Midway USA. Even factory ammo. This stuff pops up regularly at very good prices usually. Some of it is overpriced, so you have to keep checking if your not in a hurry. Although, some pretty good stuff here on AH free classifieds too.

I thought it was always reloading season. . .
Mine is a very heavy solid oak desk and I built a nice marble top for it back in the day. (Wish I still had those capabilities!). The brass and dies and various bullets are in the drawers and the powders and primers are in the concrete vault under my front porch which is locked and also dehumidifies. Like most hobbies the sideline hobbies are as much fun as the original one.

Well, on this thread I’m looking at ALL the photos of ALL the large bore bullets, cases, primers, powder, dies, etc., etc., that everyone has amassed, and am thinking this is crazy? In a lifetime, we’ll (I know I won’t) not use/shoot everything we have? It is a fun hobby though!

Once again, a meticulously organized reloading setup, unlike mine! I’m wondering if some of you guys “cleaned up” a little before you took the photos?
Haha! I cant lie, I put a “few” things away. after seeing some of the other organized tables!

Here's my setup. I went the route of buying some tables made by Seville Classics that have been great. The blue upright system was a different vendor. I'm more than capable of building this stuff but... Well I'm lazy :ROFLMAO: so I went with a cheap mass produced butcher block table and I'm more than impressed with the quality. I also found this sweet receiver/hitch type setup for the vice. I don't have to use clamps and the thing is seriously rock solid.

I see you have your press set up for Southpaw.
My mother (a leftie) would say only left-handed people are in their right mind.

My Dad would say the same!
I’m actually a righty but I like to handle the cases and bullets with my right hand for some reason and use my left on the handle.

Here’s my little setup

Powders and ready ammo are stored in a safe as per the regulations. It is somewhat dangerous in case of a fire as an enclosed safe holding several kg of powder has the potential of becoming a bomb but the lawmakers can’t see that far ahead.

I'm in the process of moving my bench from the 3rd bay of the garage to our terrace/basement level in the house. Doing a proper man cave/gun room/reloading room where the billiard room/game room used to be. Going to have a stainless countertop for the reloading area and a quartz-topped island that's 48" by 104" for working on guns, etc. I'm having a SecureIt gun wall built into the room - the gun wall will be 72" tall by 121" wide on top of 24" tall cabinets.

I'll update pictures as I can. They are finishing the floors this week - ripped up the carpet and hardwoods and did the stained concrete. Cabinets and paint next week. I've been told it will be move in ready by the end of the month. Really looking forward to the upgrade.

Here's the current set up:

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
