Shooters under attack in Australia

Demand your own second amendment. And stay at it full speed. William Wilberforce spent his entire professional life in Parliament bucking slavery. He finally won after 40 years. How bad do you want it for your posterity?
Begin by raising hell until all foreigners are off public assistance, especially for out breeding you.
I’m almost embarrassed that you think that I haven’t been doing those things.
Trust me mate. I haven’t been bending over and taking it up the arse willingly.

You are correct. People love to be tough and blow hards on the internet or when talking to their buddies. But, in real life, people act much more in self preservation. Most the people saying they wouldn't stand for this and they would take those same rifles and turn them on the government are full of it. If that were true, they would have already done it where they live. Because the reality is, even in the US, gun rights have been greatly restricted in many ways, and there has been no giant uprising. The same people that talk tough are the same ones that rationalize why this isn't the last straw for them when a new oppressive law comes down.

It's self preservation. The reality is, that we live in a very privileged and comfortable time. We have a lot of amenities that weren't there in the past and most people's lives have a degree of comfort not seen in the past and the average person doesn't want to give that up. Which is reasonable, but it also allows people to be manipulated more.

But it doesn't stop people from talking tough on the internet.
I don't think ANYONE wants to be a warmonger just for redneck bloviating. This has been thrust upon us, is picking up momentum, and given a global intifada, at the worst possible time. Being an appeaser will not exempt you or your children from very real danger ahead. Now is not the time to be Neville Chamberlain, and Islamism is every bit as dangerous going forward as Nazi Germany ever was--only they have a greater population base than Germany had.
It's just not about convenience, or hobbies. Even Hunter Habib said that the REAL problem is radical Jihadism. Believe him if you dare.

This year Australia population grew by 454,000 people.
139,000 of those were births in Australia.
The rest was from migration.
England already has a politician that's running for prime Minister that wants to introduce some Sharia law. What happens when/ if that happens.
With Australia's immigration policy we will soon be in the same boat. India's biggest export is PEOPLE and look what's happening there.
In not racist by any means or disrespect people religious beliefs but when a country's culture is under threat then I speak up. My philosophy is IF I CANT DO IT IN YOUR COUNTRY YOU CANT DO IT IN MINE.
Australia is a beautiful multi cultural country but we need to learn to live in harmony.
If you want to bring the hatred and other shit here stay home.
We even bow down and have people tell us not to have Christmas celebration because it may offend other religious people beliefs. What about some of their beliefs offending me. That doesn't matter.
We are all different coloured crayons in the one big box. We need to learn to play together nicely or take our bat and ball and go home.

Don't really want to pick on you or anyone--it's just excruciating watching an oncoming train wreck, especially as this is not the first time. Darkness has to be opposed, whether it's convenient or not....

I've butted in too much already perhaps. Let me just also suggest that our second amendment is NOT about hunting--it is about protecting from tyranny and danger that a militia would address. You need military grade weaponry to do that. Switzerland has learned by experience that they can trust their citizens to be armed at that level, and for the good of the county. It has helped the crime rate, too, I hear.

Exactly. But why don’t you ever push back? What’s up with that ?
@Vinootz
Believe me we push back.
That's how we got over 20 million acres of public land we can freely hunt in and NO HUNTING SEASONS.

Good reply mate. Unfortunately a lot of Australians have had little experience with muslims. Neither had I until 30 years ago. I have worked in both Malaysia and Indonesia with and alongside of Muslims. I have also worked with Muslims in Australia. Long and short of it is that there are good and bag people in every religion and race. No religion has a monopoly on evil.

Our issue here in Australia is that our gutless politicians are, with few exceptions, woke and scared to speak out. Our Muslim community, for whatever reason I don’t know, are refusing to condemn the radicals. They are doing themselves a great disservice. And ought to be ashamed of their silence.

Australia today is not the country that I grew up in. It’s going down hill fast because of our “fucking useless “ immigration policies. We’re importing the scum of the earth.

I feel that most Australians have had a gut full of. I sense that we may be returning to an even keel. And as to our gun laws…..all is not lost yet. There is hope for reason.

I just hope that reason prevail with the current, almost understandable, loathing of Muslim’s.

Australia can’t afford to forget that an un-armed Syrian Muslim immigrant tackled and disarmed one of the terrorists. He was shot twice! He deserves a medal and Australia’s need to remember the principle of “a fair go “ .

Thanks for your post.

A lot of Australians should be hanging their head in shame.
When the shit hit the fan the first Two to lose their live were Jewit Russian immigrants that tried to disarm the terrorists but got killed for their trouble.
The other as you said was a syrian Muslim that for his brave actions save countless people.
I'm ashamed to say that not one supposed red blooded Aussie stepped into the frey.
Have they become keyboard warriors now.
Gone are the days you went to the pub for a beer, a feed and a fight.
It's about time we took our nappies and frilly knickers off and learnt to stand up for what's right again.
In not saying yo don't already do it but slot more should be saying enough is enough. We are like a lot of other cot even the USA, being destroyed from within by the woke so it otf tree hugging namby pamby idiots that believe the world is good. Take their rose coloured glasses off and let them see the world is turning to shit.
They are the ones that will expect gun owners to protect them when shit happen but sorry you took our guns so fuck off.

Australia is like my family. I'm outnumbered, yet in a few days I have to go spend time with some real liberal dicks.
@steve white
Christmas, that time of the year you have people in your house that you normally wouldn't let thru the front door. Bar humbug. I put a parking metre in my chimney so that big fat prick in his red suit would stop here. A dead deer also helps deter his deer landing
Put CHRIST BACK INTO CHRISTMAS.

In the US, most Americans think of Australia as a land of cattle stations and the vast outback. In reality, and something you in Australia understand all too well, is that your country is one of the most urbanized on the planet. The most recent stats I can pull up put fully 90% of the population in an urban environment, and the vast majority of those in the coastal greater metropolitan areas. Those populations tend to vote like our East Coast Corridor and the West Coast. Fortunately, our founders created the electoral college and two senators per state regardless of population to protect minority and geographic interests from regional tyranny.
We have a senate with the same number of senators per state . The US model . It is a disaster over here .

Guns aren’t the problem. Radical Islam is. Nobody wants to talk about it, but (despite being a Muslim) you’re hearing it from me.

The father & son Jihadist duo studied at Al-Murad. An organization which stated in the past that Jewish people are the eternal sworn enemies of Islam. That should have been the first & only red flag necessary to cause alarm bells to go off. What did you think was going to happen ? It was only a matter of time.

Any half competent government appointed risk assessment analyst would simply make a list of every Islamic institution which teaches principles based based on the Hadiths (the Islamic books which declare “Holy War” against “Infidels”) and then suggest that they be shut down.

But instead of daring to speak out about shutting down institutions like this in Australia, the government thinks it’s better to tighten gun ownership laws.

This should speak volumes about the IQ of the people running things in our countries.

Fine, let them ban the guns. The Jihadists will simply start strapping explosives to themselves or start ramming cars into public places.

Oh, wait… they already do that.
Any radicalized religion is a problem .

Mr Bob flat out hate it for y’all with everything going on.

Christmas and people you don’t like
I do my best to stay away from them.
I don’t watch my mouth any better in person.
I will be around my wife and kids my bro and his kids
That’s about it.

Hey ! I reckon we should run a contest to see which government is the dumbest ! Earlier this year I thought the Yanks were winning…and then the Canaks put in a strong challenge. But when the whips came out Straya shot to the lead with absolutely astounding stupidity. She’s currently leading by a country mile… let’s hope the nag trips!

Fuck ! What has happened to this country.
Im not even sure its a political problem ,very likely a mental disease and probably incurable, only possible cure may be suicide by the afflicted and assisted suicide may be the only real answer.

My wife and I will be allowed 4 firearms each, we currently own 18 between us.
I now have to decide which of my 8 treasured Ruger No1's I'll have to surrender to be cut in half.
I'm 68, hunting and shooting have been my life for 52 years, along side being a professional Fireman for 41 years.
Now I'm considered a threat to society!!
My mental health has, as a consequence of Post traumatic stress, hounded me for years, it sure has gotten worse in the last 6 days.
The future looks rather bleak, after ruining my physical and mental health, trying help society through my work, I am now no better than a criminal!!!!
.And, I didn't do it!!!
Thats my line in the sand. No one is coming to my house and taking something that I legally purchased.

People need to stand up to this tyrannical bullshit. Things are popping off everywhere, stay strapped boys.

Cheers

Let's not have the mindset, "It won't happen here"! Once our current administration is out of office Gun Control will be at the top of the list for the Dems and progressives. They will use the horrible murders in Australia as the excuse. Speak loudly and Vote!
True. But it will be very costly for them if they try to "take" anything. I don't care if the Pope, Dale Earnhardt and Eddie Van Halen show up at my house. They're not getting shit.

Cheers

I don’t know if the upper house is a bad thing. I live in a state with only one house of parliament. Trust me both sides of politics abuse that.

I’d gladly vote for an upper house in Queensland.

Exactly ,I agree, that is why the dems want to do away with the electoral system , unless they are winning . A O C being one of the loudest, along with packing the supreme court with more justices than the current 9. therefore a modern constitutional convention is dangerous.

Gun owners have to hang togather or they will all hang separately, organize , enlist ,advertise . answering the knock in violence will end only as a Marter for the cause. sadly there is no easy answer ,freedom lost is very hard to regain. I remember when Australia took and burned 10,s of thousands of guns , when was that 15 ,20 yrs ago? we in the US are only I election away from trannie. I.E. California. hanging by a thread.

One difference that I think does matter. There less and less trust in the government.
On both sides. My grand dad let a friend borrow a Ithaca auto burglar when the law changed that you could not have a sb/sg wasn’t worth going through everything.
Did his friend turn it in I have no idea.
Now people trust what the government says less and less.
I don’t know any one that turned in a brace a bump stock when the law changed on them.
There might be some that went and bought said items.
With hurricane mikle back in 18 I know a game warden that was taking mre’s and water around. He told me flat out that he was asked about 50 times if he was going to disarm the people like they did in la with kintrna .
He is a a nephew of a very close friend and a friend.
He said there is no doubt that if he would have tried to take any guns he would have been lost in the swamp.

Some things seam to be changing for the better.

Thank you for saying that Hunter-Habib, you are one of my heros! Now be careful what you say. Some Muslims regard others that don't agree with their views as being worse than the Non-Muslims that they want to kill. Your friends here don't want anything to happen to you!

Best to you during this holiday season!

I don't think so, in some of the shots I could see the orange magazine tabs of the BRX1. Was it reported that it was an Blaser R8 ? Take a look at this screenshot. You can see the orange magazine tabs of the BRX1, the raised pic rail of the BRX1, and the squared back trigger guard of the BRX1. Also, the bolt handle angle is wrong for a R8.

On an R8, the root of the bolt handle is almost directly above the trigger. This rifle shows the bolt further forward, matching a BRX1. Another shot showing the orange magazine.
