Scope opinions for a Ruger No.1 International?

Rookhawk, please describe your calibers and scopes. Those are some fine rifles you shared in your photo, thank you.

Hi Trogon,

The calibers are 6.5x55 (2 of them) and a .340 weatherby.

The key ingredient is the tiger offset rings. They allow the zeiss conquest and zeiss terra scopes to function. Most 40mm scopes have 3.5” eye relief, insufficient to work on a number 1 unless offset rings are used.

I decided to go with the FX -2 fixed 6 power scope for Kentucky deer rifle season after all, over the new 1.5-5x VX-3i using the Geco 156 grain soft point load (first and only load I tried). I got this load on paper and after a few shots for adjustment, put the final three shots into a 1.5" group. I'll wait until after deer season to try the other Leupold. I appreciate all of the advice given on my thread. After shooting this No.1 I'll be looking for another, not sure what cartridge yet (something greater than 0.264" caliber).
