Schmidt & Bender 2.5-10 x 40

I've got a Nikon on it currently, but I'll be swapping out my newest Zeiss, one of the HD5's. Eye relief is constant at 3.5" whereas the Nikon gets shorter as you zoom. The drawback of the No.1's is even at the furthest back on a typical scope, the scope is still much further away from you than on a normal bolt action. Hoping the Zeiss' longer eye relief at full zoom will cure this. Will let you know.

Been looking at the stats, trying to find a scope with a longer mid-section. But all the manufacturers seem to be responding to the general public's desire to have smaller, lighter scopes.

Previous to this Kudu, all my No 1 rifles were 375 and up and had straight tube objectives where I had a little more latitude to slide them back.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
