That is exactly what I was looking for but right handed instead of left. I already have the 30-06 and 6.5CM barrel. That would have rounded me out perfect. Will you sell without bolt head or you wanting to sell the package outright?

I would sell the Barrel and 2 magazines for $2,500.

Let me get with Gordy & Sons tomorrow. They show to have a bolt face in stock but want to make sure before I make any commitment. They actually show the bolt head and barrel but not magazines. Sauer 404 parts I'm finding are hard to source.

They have discontinued the 404 J.
Gordy & Sons is my go to place. They are all a bunch of great guys.

Are you in Houston?

I want to know on the barrel there is a light mark you can see on the barrel. I have taken it to Africa one time and it killed a Buffalo. I would estimate maybe a total of 10 shots max sighting in and just shooting at 50 & 100 yds

Do you know what the gun weighed with that barrel on it?

Ask Dustin or Wyatt at Gordy ...I am sure they know but when I shot my buffalo I shot him standing up no rest with a Scope and gun was very comfortable to shot free handed.

Will do. Recoil was a concern. Also why I’ve been looking for a thicker factory recoil pad. I know make them in 3 thickness but can’t hardly find any parts for the 404

Honestly speaking... sitting on a bench shooting the 404J is not nearly as bad sitting at a bench shooting a 416. In the field in a real live situation you don't feel the recoil.
One thing I have done with my 338 is to have an Edwards Recoil installed in the butt. It reduces the recoil at least 30%. You should give Kevin a call @ Edwards Recoil and speak to him. His number is 443-995-2157.
As for a recoil pad I like Packmayr. One more suggestion is to call Edwards talk to him; if you like his recoil reducer send him the butt of your gun to install and also send him a new recoil pad to install also.

Will you do the 2250.00 for the barrel and 3 shot magazine? If you would rather can I buy just the 3 shot magazine and that would still give you a full set to sell?

Sold the 3 Shot Magazine
Dropping Price $2,575.00
If you are not Left Handed You do not have to buy the Bolt Head. Drops the Price For Barrel & 4 shot Magazine to $2,300.

Received the 3 shot magazine fast and in perfect shape. Easy transaction and couldn't ask for any more.

Thanks, Manny! The barrel, magazine, and the Norma African PH cartridges will come in handy for my hunt in Africa! And I’m also very jealous you get to have such a fine gun shop so close to home!

Robert,
If I can ever be of any help please feel free to reach out. This site has a world of knowledge and made up of some real nice people.
It was a pleasure doing business with you.
Thanks again for making the transaction so smooth .

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
