Earlier this year I bought an auction hunt at an SCI banquet that is a Saskatchewan Goose and Duck hunt for 2 people with No Fly Zone Outfitters in southern Saskatchewan (https://nfzwaterfowl.com). My adult son and I are planning to use the hunt in the fall of 2025, however if we book just the two of us for the hunt then we are limited in choice of dates as they will look for another smaller group to include us into for the hunt. If I can get together a group of 5 or more hunters then we would have the dates exclusive to our group and it opens up lots of date options during their Sept/October waterfowl season.

So I'm curious to see if there are any AH members out there who like to hunt waterfowl and would be interested in getting a group together to join my son and I in 2025? If the total group size is 5 hunters or less the price per hunter is $2600, but if you have 6 hunters or more the price drops slightly to $2400 per hunter. The hunt includes the following:
  • Three morning hunts
  • Two evening hunts
  • Hunt the morning of your departure date unless otherwise organized
  • Accommodations
  • Meals
  • Knowledgeable Guides
  • Decoys & Blinds
  • Bird Cleaning and donating the meat is free (Processing to take home with a wing on $10/goose & crane, $5/duck or can be done by the hunter for free)
I would prefer to keep the group to no more than 8 hunters total, 6 would be better possibly. If anyone is seriously interested please let me know or shoot me a PM and I will see if getting a group together is feasible. I think doing this hunt with like minded AH members would be more fun than getting put into another group at random since I don't really know anyone else here in Montana who likes to hunt waterfowl.

I would like to try and get some hunt dates locked in by February. If you PM me, let me know your time availability in the Sept/Oct timeframe and I'll see if we can make a group hunt work out for everyone.

Thanks

Pat

I filled in on a similar SK hunt a few years back at end of Oct. Weather kinda screwed us when temps fell way below freezing just when we arrived. We had one good morning hunt. Rest was miserable. Had to fend for ourselves mostly. Meals, setting up decoys, driving our own vehicles, providing dogs. I seem to recall the price was about the same.

Nice that they let you clean your birds for free. :D. I am usually headed to Montana at end of October to hunt pheasants. Could possibly swing up there on the way. It's what I did to make the other hunt work. I'm presently trying to put together a caribou drop in hunt but no luck finding a partner so may not pan out. I will keep this in mind. Might be confusing having two Pats in the same blind. Hunting fields or water?

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
