Good Morning All,

Picked up Live Bait near famous Pier 39. Heading out for Striped Bass that are running and biting good lately. I’ll update if we have any luck or as the day progresses. With good friends and Union brothers Dave and John! Future Safari hunters too… With a little encouragement!

Wish us luck.

Good guide you can recommend? Wife and I will be out there in the next two weeks, doing a Pacific Coast Hwy drive from San Diego to Seattle. Never hurts to work in a little fishing

Thanks!

Excellent thank you for sharing! Looks like lots of fun

I really need to get down there and do some sea duck hunting in the Bay

California Halibut are much smaller than their Pacific Halibut cousins. Rarely see them over 40lbs. I’ve caught a couple over 40, biggest was 42lbs. We have 2-3 today that are 15lbs +/-.

They are very delicate and delicious!

Good day to be on the water with old friends!

If the bite continues and weather cooperates, you should be able to get in on some Halibut and Striper fishing. Or Nearshore Pacific Lingcod.
I’ll send you the names of a couple six pack charters or you can jump on a bigger boat out of Emeryville or Berkeley.

I went on the COBALT out of San Diego a couple months ago for a great day of Yellow Tail fishing! Think about that too…

With the warmer ocean currents Bluefin Tuna have showed up the last couple years and are about 50 miles outside the Golden Gate. I have all the gear. We hooked one last year and didn’t land it. We also love to fish albacore when they are in. One boat from our harbor landed about a 200lb Bluefin yesterday. We saw them with it at the fuel dock.

I designed and had an auxiliary fuel tank built for offshore extended range. Another 55 gallons with a nice cutting board on top. Requires 4 bolts to mount it securely to the top of the transom. It has its own valves and lines direct to the engines or can be switched to fill the main tanks. Gives us about 375 miles of range.

Put it on last weekend:
