I will be seeing a client in San Antonio, TX in early November. I am considering extending my stay a bit to hunt. Looking to hear about different opportunities in the area around that time. Thank you.

You could head a few hours west for some great Aoudad hunting if that interests you.

Rifle season for deer starts the first weekend of November. Go south of San Antonio and you get into some of the best genetics in the US. Most ranches will be high fenced, but there are a few that are fair chase. Do a quick google search and you soll
find plenty of options.

Come hunt with us @RESERVE RANCH we are an easy drive 1.5 hours from San Antonio.

We offer both high fence and free range for Whitetial and Axis, over 20 species inside the fence as well as Quail hunting over pointers.

All depends on how much $ you have to spend. Lots of options with a fat wallet.

If your an upland bird hunter, definitely set a hunt at Joshua Creek Ranch just north of San Antonio near Boerne, Texas.

They have other hunt species and a fine long range rifle range.

You could go Nilgai hunt!

Just about 2:30 -3 hours south of San Antonio.

San Antonio is a gateway to many different hunting opportunities. Within a few hours drive you have your pick of rolling hill country, south Texas scrub brush, coastal plains, west Texas desert, and dozens of different species on the game ranches. Pick a species, or pick an area, just remember it's all pay-to-play in Texas.

Also November is prime time for fishing on the coast. Good month for a cast and blast weekend.

777 Hunting Ranch is in the SA area, but there are more. I hunted 777 in the past and was very satisfied. Their hunts are during the weekends

There are so many options, if you could narrow it down to which type of animal(s), budget and how far you want to drive that would help focus it a lot. As stated, there are tons of options in the form of exotic game ranches that offer dozens of animals, much less whitetail, etc... Literally, dozens of options. As he threw out there, Reserve Ranch is a great example of this. Cheers

In addition to what’s been posted, good waterfowl hunting along the gulf coast. We farm some land for Pintail hunting out of Garwood, TX. They even offer hog hunting, both thermal and helicopter.

You can schedule a waterfowl hunt for many places within an hour or two. Canada geese and/or Sandhill crane are both likely hunts, and probably less cost than a whitetail or exotic hunt. Plenty of great choices close by.

Well, it seems like there is no shortage of opportunities. I guess I'll have to do some research and see what I am looking to target. I have a few ideas in mind.
