Sako Kodak

@wysongdog good purchase, but I need to hear some details on the ram in your pic. That sheep looks like a stud!

That sheep was about the death of me lol. Spent 30 days in the hills. 18 bowhunting and I couldn’t get it done with my stick thrower:(. Missed a ram. Then 10 days later killed this one. Missed him at 425 yds straight down with my buddy hanging onto my ankles then he came to the top and I killed him at 225yds :). Then road the mules out 4 hours in a blizzard. He’s 9.5 years old.

I’ve found a like new sako Kodak in a 375 h&h for $1450. Haven’t been able to handle the rifle and never had a sako. Everyone’s thoughts on this?

I own this rifle, love it, it is practically designed for ease of carry and comfortable to shoot. The iron sights are the best I’ve seen for quick target access.
I mounted Talley quick release scope mounts.
I carried it on a Montana elk hunt last fall, wilderness area with foot travel many miles walked each day with pack and rifle. Comfortable.

Please get the SAKO brand rings or rings & mounts or quick release. Thank you.

Sounds like an awesome hunt! Definitely a well earned Ram! Congratulations!

Thanks. The next day my buddy killed a 348 bull and it snowed 14” on us in the time it took use to bone out the bull. Came off the mountain in a white out couldn’t see 30’. Came down a avalanche chute to get off the mountain. It was intense.

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
