Sako Cal. 500 Jeffery Elephant

OP, you are all over the map with your price on this rifle…$3500, $3900, $6500 and now $8900. I feel like I am watching an episode of The Price is Right.

A new member who signed up just over a week ago, listing a rifle with ever changing price seems a bit odd to me. I don’t mean to rain on your parade but for a prospective buyer, I would approach this with caution.
You need to refresh yourself with Happy Gilmore. A classic for the ages. “The price is wrong—bitch!”

Admittedly, although I have never seen anything like this listing pricing (including posts in other threads), I don’t think there is anything sinister going on. The guy joined to sell a .500 he won’t shoot, assigned a screen name of the rife he believes he is too diminutive to shoot, and asserts price discrepancies are due to jokes. If trying to defraud someone, he is taking the long road. :)

Up to your. I started at 6500 because the gun is worth more. Someone mentioned one sold for 3900 on here so having about 3500 in it in figured I would take it since maybe 1 % of hunters would never need something this powerful. Someone mentioned my price drop so jokingly i said it was a type-o and sad 8900. Lol.
Call it odd call it strange call it odd approacg with caution. I dont hunt big game like that. Its a steal for someone that can afford it. Not like im going to ship to anyone someone would have to come to oklahoma where it is legal to do street sales of legal guns to legal gunowners... My profit will mainly be the other pieces that were in the gun safe that i bought. Definatly worth what I paid. I know 1 guy here in oklahoma that has taken african game his biggest being a girraffe he is really trying to lowball me and ill keep it as a paperweight before I let it got for 1500.

Certainly would not sell it for $1500. There was excitement for these when they came out as factory .500J offerings are quite limited. Excitement quickly faded for most upon receipt.

Im learning more a in go. I guess its the brown bear not the safari. Which only visible difference is color of the cushion. One red one black.

Me summing up this thread......:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I think the huge difference is the stock. That “cushion” is a recoil pad. Laminated stock on the Brown Bear vs one piece finished walnut stock on the Safari.

Other than the action everything is different.
Action goes through even more fine tuning.
It is like comparing Olds Tornado vs Cadilac Elderado. Same engine.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
