Through the end of the month of July we have special pricing on most all of our Safari Ammo in large bore calibers and Free Shipping on all ammo orders over $150
Just use the code FREESHIP150 at checkout.

Some boxes of ammo are on promotion at over $50 PER BOX OFF ... combined with Free Shipping this is a good money saving promotion.

Order online at www.pendletonammo.com or call the office at 1-800-303-1304 (9am-5pm PST) to place an order.

Is there a promo code for ammo discounts? Looking for some 375.
The pricing was just reduced on the website, no code needed for pricing.
At just use the code FREESHIP150 at checkout and all shipping charges should be removed from the final bill.
Are you running .375 H&H for safari or Alaska for brown bear?
Depending on your rifle and set up, we actually have different ammo.

It’ll be for safari. Species would be various PG, eland, nyala, kudu and Cape buffalo. Rifle is a model 70 which will be chopped to 20”.

That ammo shoots good out of short barrel rifles, we have a .375 H&H at 20" and another at 22" we have proofed ammo in.

If you are focused on plains game animals I would shoot the 270 Gr Swift A-Frame bullets, they are one of my favorites. Our data shows that we were running 2600-2650 FPS range in the 20" barrel rifle throughout load testing... and 2700-2750 FPS in the 24" rifles.

Keep in mind there are other factors about your rifle that will impact whatever velocity you end up getting at the range. But the loads all tested inside MOA consistently, so accuracy was there and that is the most important data collected.

For the Cape Buffalo ask your PH if he wants you to carry and load any solids... I would load the rifle with our 300 Gr Swift A-Frame loads. In 24" Barrel rifles we achieved 2650 FPS velocities and were consistently over 2600 FPS with sub MOA accuracy. This is one of our signature loads and we initially developed it for brown bear hunting and our Bear Hammer line of ammunition. In a 20" barrel you should be at or above 2500 FPS which generates a lot of energy... and then after the A-Frames they will have you load (usually) some solids and we have the 300 Gr Cutting Edge Safari Solids. They shoot the same velocities and have almost identical points of impact as the A-Frames.

I am intrigued by the 375 Gr Cutting Edge Safari Raptor loaded in 404 Jeffrey. Seems like that would be a great load for big cats as well as large plains game. Do you load those those with the plastic tips?

But unfortunately it doesn't look like those loads are available?

What’s the difference between your hunting, bear hammer, and safari 375 H&H lines? Just velocity? I’ve been using the “hunting” line with 300 gr swifts. It shoots more accurately and a little higher than the federal safari 375 ammo from my Sako, but I haven’t chronographed it to compare.

I would hunt cats with the 400 Gr North Fork Semi Spitzer.
The raptor loads are not available at this time but will be later this year.
Consult your PH on the type of performance he would like you to have in a bullet.
Most of our orders for Lion/Leopard bullets are for expanding softs like the NF Semi Spitzer.

They are similar but... we load all of our ammo to order. And in the online ordering process you list your rifle make, model, etc... and then we load to that based on our data on hand. The Safari line of ammo is generally slightly faster than our standard line of ammo.

Not sure your price range. Have a 375 H&H with a muzzle brake. Nice rifle only fired a few times. Also a Mossberg 375 Ruger its been used and shows a few hunts on it.
