Heading tomorrow to Capetown for a few days of city stuff then up to the Caprivi for buffalo with my son. Then we’ll have nearly two weeks without a plan. We’ll figure it out when we get there.

Who are you hunting with?

That will be nice to have two weeks to hunt whatever you feel like. That makes for some of the best hunting. No pressure. All exploring.

Early fall Europe

Updated Details: Flight to Ljubljana, sight see 2 days (last time I was in Ljubljana was 1985, looking forward to seeing the changes), then drive to Croatia to hunt Red Deer (free range). Time permitting Fallow and/or Mouflon (Estate) then drive back to Slovenia for Alpine Chamois in Bled.

I drove from Switzerland to Ljubljana in 2018.

It is an awesome place with friendly people and good restaurants now. I then carried on to Zadar Croatia which was ok. But of course Split and Dubrovnik are awesome and so beautiful. Everyone should go to Croatia. Fantastic.

Tina and I have decided since the TAX man (taxidermist) has to be paid, the hunting piggy bank replenished and the freezers need filled, we'll hunt Alabama this fall. It started out with my shopping around in the South for a Plantation type quail hunt, and ended up with her finding a place where we can do deer, hogs, birds and crappie fishing for a week.

2025 I look forward to Stags and Chamois in Romania.
