I was just checking what hunting shows my DVR had recorded and Hartsview Hunting Safaris was featured with Steve Scott hunting a cape buffalo with a handgun. Jacques was the PH and he had a ruger alaskan for his rifle. Not sure what caliber. The show first aired on the 17th of January. Pretty good stuff. If I ever hunt with them I will have a ruger alaskan in 375 ruger. This might be old stuff but thought I would post it anyway.

Jacques' rifle is in .416 Ruger

Good show. Bruce

Got to love a Ruger 416

I saw the show as well and thought it was great. I was lucky enough to be in camp when Steve took the buff and was able to go and see it on the ground.

Jacques & Hartzview have an awesome operation. It was great to see them spotlighted like that 2 weeks/episodes in a row.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
