S&W Highway Patrolman

Big, heavy and will last forever. Original grips should not be hard to find. Smith&WESSON boards have them quite often.

i can,t add any thing thats not already been said about the model 28 S&W revolvers.

Do you have it at the southern side by side this weekend?

Well, sorry I missed you….was there Thursday and enjoyed the eye candy….sure were some beautiful guns there. “Almost “ bought a sake 375 but didn’t pull the trigger as I have a Winchester in order.

Is there a way to determine the manufacturer date to see if it is C&R eligible?

I can lookup the serial number but it is most definitely not going to be eligible for that

Just curious. I saw the 28-2 started production in 1954 and I believe the pin/recess stopped in 1982.

Sure, I just remembered I had a picture of the serial number. I looked it up and it is 1966 from the best I can tell.
