Just PM’d you thanks.

Be advised the two boxes of RWS 404 brass I picked up recently had all cases too short in length. I am fairly certain they were never fired or trimmed. A few weeks ago I bought another box of brass, this time Hornady brass. Those are all correct length.

Regardless, I believe RWS is some of the most sot after brass for a reason and Proneshooter knows his stuff, you can buy from him with confidence.

2 boxes still available.

The RWS brass crimped at the bottom of the seating ring in bullets (an elder moment precludes my feeble mind from recalling the correct term). Also, for whatever reason I cannot get that brass to reliably snap over. Not sure if it is because of shorter length or inconsistent rim thickness. Not terribly important I guess. The Hornady brass all snap over.

These days finding ANY 404 brass is almost a historical moment. Jump on it.

Ontario Hunter,

I can’t believe this brass isn’t sold yet, the last RWS .404 brass I saw sell on gunbroker was $15ea!

Point taken. My bad. Not necessarily gripes but rather observation. Perhaps my brass was factory seconds? But it shoots fine. That's what counts.

Proneshooter has helped me a great deal when I first got my 404J. I am grateful to him for his help.

I use RWS and Norma brass for my 404. They are both very good, but I have a preference for the RWS brass. I have used it over the past couple of years with absolutely no issues. It crimps just fine with my Lee 404J FCD.

All brass is now sold.

Did you measure the rims? Is your rifle setup for snap over? Or did you self modify it to snap over whatever brass you used to modify it to do so?
Factory seconds? Or used before by someone else? You dont know but bash the brass sold here? My word........

RWS makes probably the best brass availible......much better than Hornady anyway....

IMO, RWS and Norma make the best 404J brass. I use both with zero problems. With RWS I did have an initial problem - the primers were being flattened upon firing, but this was an error on my part - my FL resizing die was initially set incorrectly, resulting in a bit too much headspace.
