I was referring to Ruger's current disposition. I've never even seen one of their Hawkeye African rifles in stock anywhere or in person. That is just depressing.
No, RSM ARE MADE IN .375, 416 RIGBY, AND AT THE TAIL END 458 LOTT. NEVER MADE IT IN 458 WINCHESTER. RSM's are large Magnum Actions.
Krish
Yes I see that. I don't know why it says so. Ruger did not make them in their RSM Large magnum action. 458 winchester does not call for such large action. Even though CZ 550 ARE MADE IN 458 WINCHESTER. THAT IS WHY YOU CAN LOAD THEM UP TO 458 LOTT VELOCITIES BY SEATING THE BULLET LONGER.Ok that’s what I thought. In your earlier post it’s showed 458 win mag at the top of the serial numbers, so I thought maybe I missed something.
I would love to have a 458 Win Mag (built specially for it) in an RSM config.
But which mob gets the final say ?? Look what happened to Remington, among others; quality down, unhappy customers, more ...The best companies understand that you need engineers, accountants and soul.
Difficult balance to maintain, for sure.
Dare we ask how you know what a Vervet monkeys butt smells like??Amazed this one isn’t already gone…
The local Cabelas had an RSM in 416 Rigby… in not nearly as nice condition (lots of dings and wear on the stock… a couple of distinct scratches on the steel, etc)… listed for $2300… it sold in 36 hours…
I figured this one would be gone in the first 24 hours after Krish listed it…
If I didn’t already own a 416 I’d be all over this like stink on a vervet monkeys butt…
DO IT !!I had my RSM 375H&H rebored to 404J. It's a joy to shoot. I'm tempted to buy another one and do the same thing.
Dare we ask how you know what a Vervet monkeys butt smells like??
