Ruger No. 1-H Tropical 416 Rigby

Once in great while you see one. I picked up one.

If we consider that Bill Ruger had them machined with the sight rib, and bottom reinforcing rib machined in one piece they are (IMHO) near the ultimate rifle barrel. Ask a barrel maker to do it, and the cost would run well into four figures. Nowadays near a collectors piece. I'd love to have a peek into Krish's gunroom ....

@geoff, off topic here. But I supose you could always sell that barrel to me and I could fit it to my RSM 375 h&h as I already have the magazine follower and other bits, if anything to take pitty on me and stop the temptation of having me go out and buy another Rigby Gig Game to Match my 450.
Swara, Mate, Love to accommodate you but in this case, sorry, no. I read your post in bed, and couldn't get to sleep for hours, laughing so much; I still am ... Have fun over there, Mate.

I got these machined. The under lug for rsm. Below the barrel. It took 6 hrs for the first one and there after 4 hrs for each. Looks simple but lot of measurements.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx
