I have Timney triggers in many of my firearms. Great triggers and never a problem. I took a new Timney to my gunsmith to install in a new Ruger .375 Guide Gun, LC6. My gunsmith swears it will not fit, even if he grinds it. Both he and I have been on the phone with Timney several times. Timney insists this is the proper trigger and it will need some minor dremel work. My gunsmith insists that the geometry of the trigger is wrong and it can’t be done. Very frustrating! Has anyone installed a Timney in a new Ruger Hawkeye Guide gun? If so, do you have any step by step recommendations for my gunsmith? The original trigger is way, way too heavy. I have ordered a spring from Ernie’s as a last ditch option of lightening the trigger pull. But, I would really prefer the Timney installed.

Get the lighter spring from Ernie's and put it in. It's simple and you can do it yourself. Makes for a nice trigger, just under 3 lbs.

BTW, I have put Timney triggers is a few other rifles and I do like them. I just don't think you need one on the LC6 trigger.

Ernie’s Spring is very probably the direction I’m going. I appreciate the response! I think Timney has a fair return policy.

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better

Skydiver386,

Did you ever find your 30-06 CZ550? I own a fairly solid conditioned one, if you wanted to talk.
