Ruger American Gen 2 scope base?

Does anyone here know if the Ruger American line is using the same footprint as a Remington 700 for the scope bases?

I'm considering getting a Ruger American Ranch in 5.56 as a plinker and was curious if I wanted to replace the factory picatinny rail with something better like one from Ken Farrell which pattern they used for the holes.

I was told on a Ruger forum they are not the same as Remington 700 just fyi..
