London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. is proud to announce the release of a limited run of 12 striking bronze sculptures of a lion skull created in memory of a beloved Professional Hunter and to raise money for his son. The sculptures are cast from a lion’s skull and crafted from solid bronze, with each artwork weighing in at 14kg.

These exclusive bronzes are priced at a minimum of £4,000 each, with 15% of the proceeds – £600 per sculpture – being dedicated to a trust fund for Oskar Wicker, a three-year-old child living in Scotland.

Oskar is the son of the late Sebastian Wicker, a renowned Professional Hunter and close friend of Rigby’s head of sales, Jérôme Lanoue. Sebastian tragically passed away two years ago after a fatal snake bite and to honour his memory and support his family, John Rigby & Co. is committing to this significant cause.

Customers purchasing one of these 12 bronzes have the option to donate additional funds, which will further contribute to Oskar’s trust fund. All extra funds raised will be added to the account, which will be accessible to Oskar when he turns 18.

In addition to the financial support created from the project, each of the 12 limited edition bronzes will be documented in a special register. This register will include a dedicated page for each bronze, where the purchaser can write personal words about hunting and what it means to them. This will be presented to Oskar alongside the funds raised when he reaches adulthood.

Rigby’s head of sales, Jérôme Lanoue shares his thoughts on this initiative: "Sebastian was a dear friend and an exceptional Professional Hunter who made a mark on his clients and fellow hunting enthusiasts from around the world. We shared countless adventures, including several memorable moments captured on French hunting TV. This project is not just about preserving his legacy but also about securing a future for his son, Oskar. It means the world to me, and I believe it will resonate with our community too."

The bronzes are now available for purchase via the Rigby website. For those who wish to contribute further to Oskar’s future, this is a unique opportunity to own a piece of art that celebrates both the majesty of the African wild and the strength of human bonds.

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
