Rigby 450 nitro express double 1908

Hi. The gun is tight barrels are good needs cold bluing and some love , however she is solid and the barrels ring true. She is the best in my collection of doubles. The rigby boys hunt zambia and have authenticated her. If you drop me your email I will send you more pictures.

I was keen to fix her up but have not got round to it. I do know some very good gunsmiths around the world but have always thought to get her back to london.

I was just seeing how desperate you are to get rid of that old chunk of steal that is taking up valuable space in your house.

I have managed to collect 6 English doubles. Three good condition. 1 rough and two in poor condition. My armoury has space still. I supose the total is around 50 guns now. Is this the best area to advertise this lovely double

The Rifle Looks to have some use in it youth full days. With some work it would be a servable Rifle.

I am sure on the amount of work need from the few pictures you have posted.

As information, Cabela's had a Rigby in 470 NE, with case, for sale last year, that asked for and I received information on, it was selling for near $18,000. Story went, that a person took the rifle to the Cabela's gun library and put it on consignment and up for sale. It sold quickly an I missed out.

Mmm thats approx sterling ï½£46,000.00 ..........dylan good luck, but it will need a full rebuild from end to end most likely inc new wood. i think you should check the prices of other top make doubles on the site its for sale on and see the prices they are for reference.
