Rigby’s 250th Anniversary Celebration

I am honored to have the privilege of attending @RIGBY’s 250th anniversary celebration on May 16th in Portsmouth, England!

It is going to be quite an event:

I will share stories and pictures, if permitted.
OMG. so jeleous my friend!!!!! Just so awesome you are going!!! Please share report and pictures!!!!

I tried to listen to the podcast about it.

They had a lot of years of not being in business in the past 250 years, so to me it isn't 250 years.

Self licking ice cream cone of self promotion, misrepresentation and pageantry.

I think it is a neat company, but come on!

I think that is probably true of many things!

Consider something of similar age: the US is celebrating its 250th anniversary next year, but we were divided for four years during the US Civil War. I don’t think that means that we should start counting from 1865.

Whether it’s 250 years or 20 years, I am excited to attend and touched to have been invited :)

I think that is apples and pianos. The United States never stopped existing as a country.

Beretta truly has been under one family the entire time.

Rigby has had multiple owners, more than 5 that I know of, the majority of which never had a relationship to anyone in the original Rigby family. Currently they are owned by Blaser-Mauser-Sauer, so they fully are not anything but part of a conglomerate.

Even when Roberts worked there, then owned it then sold it to to the Blaser Group.

To me it is laughable providence.

Rigby has never ceased to exist . Like most businesses / companies new owners come and go . Rolls Royce is not owned by Messrs Rolls and Royce . The ownership changes but the quality continues . I just wish i got an invitation to this celebration .

I read an older thread that mentioned you having some 9.3x64 brass. Do you still have some? I am looking for 100 pcs, maybe 200.
