rifle and equipment insurance

@rookhawk - I’m not familiar with “AJ Gallagher Insurance” and the information you shared is helpful. Their premiums seems so low it’s “almost too good” - have you ever had them payout a Claim? Or know someone that has? The insurance companies I’ve looked into require an “estimate” be provided for any firearm of value —-if I read your post correctly that is Not required by AJ G if “worth less then $10,000” ? Certainly the best policy I’ve heard of and if they have a good record of actually “paying out claims” …they move to the TOP of the List. Thanks for posting

"Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) is an American global insurance brokerage and risk management services firm headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago). The firm was established in 1927 and is one of the largest insurance brokers in the world."

I've never had to give them an appraisal, even when I've insured a $40k+ firearm, I gave them a write-up and the serial number and they said "okay". Under $10k requires no scheduling on the policy.

Yes, I have had two claims in 15 years and they paid out quickly with no troubles whatsoever. Both claims were due to shipper damage in transit, once for a take-apart Mannlicher and once for a British Double Rifle.

@rookhawk - thanks, usefull and helpful

I used them. She is very responsive and knowledgeable.
After SCI lost their underwriter last year, I reached out and asked I think here where I could find a good policy. Gun and trophy was suggested and after a phone call and some form problems that were handled excellently I signed up. Been very pleased when I asked random questions and when I met his dad at SCI this year, he was a pleasant fellow.

I will wholeheartedly endorse Cole at Gun & Trophy as a satisfied customer. They are responsible to questions and easy to deal with, even through a claim.
Thank you Sir!

Thank you it is truly our pleasure

Do these policies cover firearms while traveling? Either domestically or internationally?

Good to read that Laura is stepping up her game. She had really dropped the ball a few years ago and lost quite a few long term policy holders, myself included. Never a bad word when Jack was still alive and running it. I might have to consider re-upping.

Woodcarver, unless something has changed in the last few years, Eastern covers firearms when traveling.

hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
