Red stag fix price 3750 euros
• 4 days of hunting, morning and evening (max 8 hunting outs, 1:1)
• 5 nights single accommodation, 3 meals/ day.
• 1 red stag regardless of size. ( expectations 5-8.5 kg)

• first preparation of the trophies
• Romanian temporary hunting permit

Not included:
• Extra animals available
- roebuck at 700 euros
- fallow stag up to 3 kg price 1750 euros, above 3 kg plus 30 euros/10 grams
- wild boar trophy fees

16,01 to 19,99 cm 900 EUROS
20 cm and more 1200 EUROS + 25 EUROS/mm.

• Wounded and not recovered we consider the animal hunted.
The arrival airport is Cluj-Napoca (CLJ) the transfer is about 2 hours and 45 minutes
To book the hunt a deposit of 750 euros is required. Hunting period from 17.09-22.09
and second period 22.09-27.09.
We can do small changes on dates, according to airline rates if hunters require.

I have just returned from my European hunt and have my African next year. But already planning another European hunt, I will be more prepared next time. I did not expect the Slovenian mountains to be so steep.

There are plenty, but it depends of what part of Romania you are hunting on and how much time you set aside for visiting.
If you care about castles, Peles Castel is a must see.

Very close to Oradea (West of Cluj-Napoca) we have visited the Bear's Cave.

The salt mines are a major attraction. I'm in charge of the hunting, Tina is in charge of the Tourist activities after the hunt. Castles, Monesteries, Museums and Salt mines are what she want's to see.

Peles Castle, Bran Castle (Dracula), Brasov Old Town and Black Church, Bucharest and a cold brew at Cara Cu Bere.

As V. Veritas mentioned, there are many but it depends on which in part of the country you are hunting (or how far you are willing to travel). The so-called "Dracula's Castle" (actually Bran Castle) is certainly scenic and interesting but it is a tourist site which has no connection to the historical Vlad Teppisch. His actual castle (Poienari Castle) is very remote and essentially consists of ruins, although I've read where a restoration is being attempted.

In the central portion of the country, I would recommend a visit to Peles Castle (actually a country palace built for the King rather than a fortress). The woodwork and paintings alone are worth the price of admission.

The medieval cities of Sighisoara and Sinaia are well worth a visit as well.

If you are willing to travel to the northeast, the "Happy Cemetery" in Maramures County is justly famous for its unique approach to the hereafter.

In that same region, the former Sighet Prison hosts a museum which presents a rather sobering reminder of how the communists treated those who were viewed as a threat to their rule.

In Bucharest, the Palace of the Parliament is a must-see. I also enjoyed the "Village Museum" (collection of period houses from various parts of the country) there. There are also any number of museums and monasteries throughout the country. Lots of interesting things to see and do, it just depends on your interests and where you want to travel. Most are relatively unknown outside the region.

I'm thinking a couple of days after the hunt.

I'm just back from a red stag hunt in Hungary. I spent a few days in Vienna at the Hotel Imperial, went to the opera, some of the old gun shops (Springer, Kettner), visited Halder, which has been making jewelry for hunters for centuries. Halder's current operator is the great, great granddaughter of the founder. Had some incredible meals and enjoyed the ancient city and remnants of the Hapsburg Empire. Took a high-speed train to Budapest and then went hunting in Somogy, and came back to Budapest at the end and did a day in Buda and flew out 0-dark-thirty the next day. Understand Romania is easily digested in a few days. I'm planning a hunt for chamois in the Carpathians for next fall, and planning to skip Bucharest and spend a few days in Cluj-Napoca, maybe Timisoara, and some of the smaller, medieval villages. I haven't found any truly interesting information on where to go, and what to see, aside from the obligatory references to Dracula's castle. Just started reading Banffy's Transylvania Trilogy, which thus far has been the most interesting book on the region/people/history that I have come across. Will post more, if useful, as I learn more, and hope you will do the same.
