Recommendations for a Rifle to Take to Africa?

@JG26Irish_2 there was a lot of good advice in your post.
Except the comment about bringing too much ammo. You must have meant “camo” because I’m not sure there is such thing as “too much ammo.”

I just went on my first Safari this August and took a Savage 110 Bear Hunter in 375 Ruger. I got a good scope Leupold VX5 CDS 1-5. I shot a Buffalo at 25 yards and a Kudu at 350. Overall, I took 6 animals, and the 375 Ruger was perfect for a one-gun Safari. The whole rifle setup including hard case, sling etc. came in about $3000. I'm taking it to Alaska in fall of 25 for moose and grizzly. I'd have no qualms about hunting elk with it. 375 Ruger has low recoil, standard action and good longer-range capabilities. It's not the classic Africa rifle but it left me more money to hunt more animals.
