One of the best hunting writers ever.

I'd be lying through my teeth if I didn't say that Mr. Capsticks writings did not play a large part in finally motivating me to finally book my first Africa hunt, even though it's not until next year. I'm currently re-reading his trilogy for what must be the third or fourth time and I find that it looses nothing in the retelling. If you have not picked up one of his books may I humbly suggest getting a copy of "Death in the Long Grass" and settling into a comfy chair for a bit. It sure did wonders for me!

Very interesting. I've read a lot of his work, but I had no idea what his voice sounded like until I saw this video.

I had three of his videos on vhs. One of them has him sitting in front of that same ant hill talking about elephant hunting. Looks like that was a scene that didn't make the final cut. The videos were OK but not nearly as entertaining as his books.
