Questions on getting and using night vision scopes

@Bob Nelson 35Whelen

How does the HT 66 react to muzzle flash?
Is a noise or flash suppressor needed?
Do you know if these are sold in the US?
@Ridge Runner
Ive had no problems with muzzle fash when burning 58 gn of H4831 in a 25 cal.
If they aren't sold in the states it's easy enough for someone to get you one and send it to you.
Being a tight arse I bought mine from new Zealand and had it posted to me for 150 dollars cheaper than I could get it in Australia.
What got me interested was reading about a person using one to cull problem deer out to 300 yards with a 300 win mag. Figured if'n it was good enough for him it would do me just fine

Thanks @Bob Nelson 35Whelen for the information can you PM me the information on where you purchased your HT 66. I might need it if I can't find an HT 66 here in the states.

I Hunt extensively with thermal optics all year long. Any questions PM me. I have multiple setups and have used pretty much every major brand.

I find my regular scopes just sitting in the safe. I use it all the time.

I am biased in that this is my occupation but the Wraith on the Digital NV side is a lot of bang for the buck and Pulsar for thermal is super intuitive and owns its price range.

I killed a ton of hogs with red lights, then even more with the Wraith, and now it is a absolute game changer with Pulsar Thermions and Pulsar monoculars or binoculars.

may I suggest Intaba Safaris in the East Cape by Port Elizabeth, Eugene is a great guy, 2 of us will be there April 6th to April 14th. he does cull hunts(that's what I am doing) and if you go to his web site he is and offering daily fees of 200.00 and good cull prices. Thanks Jim
Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
