Question about Professional Hunters, big bore rifles, and ammo

...handguns 50 rounds per year per gun..shotgun 250 per gun per year...
Until Covid I was shooting 60K of .40 S&W in competition and training. Last year shot about 20K shotshells in sporting clays.

Here is a pic of a 10K batch of reloads.

Hi tjere
We teload most of the calibres ammo we use a lot of
So 30-06, 375hh , 375ruger, 9.3x62 and 243
Restwe buy for now as dont use that much of it

I wish a sponsorship type
Deal would be available for ph’s or outfitters
That would be great
A few of my ph buddies got sponsorship from Peregrine. Kevin had the deal with Norma but yes an ammo deal for ph’s would be welcomed!

Same but 150 per rifle per year, and max of 50 in possession at one time..handguns 50 rounds per year per gun..shotgun 250 per gun per year....so need two of each calibre really....to assist the situation...:E Big Grin:....maybe you can DHL me some 500 reloads ;):ROFLMAO:

Bloody hell, I shoot 100rds of handgun ammo per training session and I now try to do 2-3 sessions per week. 250 shot shells is but a bit of fun on the clays. Up until now I thought European and Oz laws were crazy! I suppose one benefit for you guys is no one is hording ammo ;-)

Actually, the restrictions on firearms, ammo and reloading (including components) are even worse in some of the European countries. In Asian countries almost impossible.

One doesn't realize how lucky we are due to the 2nd Amendment.

Yes. I knew Canada and lots of European nations had pretty draconian restrictions. Never really thought about Asia.

Are the restrictions on ammo and reloading components just part of a different culture of gun control or, at least in some places, are they rooted in government instability? I.e., not wanting a particularly well-armed populace in a state with government instability. (Yes, I know that's a continent-sized can of worms!)
As I don't shoot that much per year I stand to be corrected but in SA the limits on quantity are what you're allowed in your possession at any one time. So no annual upper limits, just what you're allowed to be in possession of.

I would say that restrictions are in place in Africa due to government fears of a well armed population. In the not too distant old days these restrictions weren't in place. Since the "new era" restrictions on ammo, powers etc and amount of weapons have been put in place as well as a pain in the butt licensing process. All designed to limit and frustrate legal gunowners.

If we have to be honest, I would say MANY gunowners have more than the legal limit of ammo and powder. Not me of course as I'm a good boy. :p
