Just a heads up - Looks like the Prvi shipping container must have recently dropped in the U.S. as their 285 grain SP factory ammo is popping up across several retailers. I've found this ammo to be quite good, at a relative bargain, and with accurately stated muzzle velocities.

I found their 8x57 ammo to be well priced as well as accurate. Firing this ammo I see no reason the reload with the accuracy the factory loads have.

I agree on most all of their ammo. Their 8x57 seemed very anemic that I tried. However I use much of their ammo. At 20-25ish a box it’s amazing how well it shoots. For standard hunting that doesn’t need a premium bullet it’s great to use

I'm also hoping Geco imports more 9.3x62mm again.

I found their 255 gr. Geco Plus (bonded bullet) ammo at 2,425+ fps excellent!

fingers crossed...

The exact ammunition I want! I bought many boxes of it when it was being imported and was insanely cheap.... I want more.

The 9.3x62 Geco Plus shot exceptional well in my Husqvarna 1640 and has not been too much bullet for quick kills on whitetail. The Prvi on the other hand is meh in that gun.

My plan is to use the PPU has affordable ammo to get familiar with the rifle and then have brass for reloading.

Very nice. Years ago, I bought one of these and sent it to a gentleman to have the chamber reamed out to x62. He informed me that not all of these chambers could cleanly be opened up due to variances in their initial manufacturing. Mine did and I hope yours does as well. They're nice rifles. The biggest issue is the bolt handle, which will probably need modified to work with a scope if that's your intent.

For the time being, I have no plans to mount a scope. The problem with buying these is that they’re so affordable, one starts to concoct multiple setups. I’d be tempted to just get another that’s already been d&t for scope use and leave this one as-is.

If it weren’t able to be rechambered, I have little doubt it wouldn’t take me long to decide on another barrel entirely, and some action/bolt work.

Hi PaulB,
I have a Ballard Arms Model 1885 chambered for .333 Jeffery Flanged. Do you have any idea where I can get ammo for this?

I am new to this forum so I am sorry if I am doing something wrong!
Thank You!
