Products that just won't DIE

Troy built roto tiller built in 1962. Use it to till my garden every year. Only repairs I have ever had to do is replace the tiller teeth and rebuild the carburetor due to their weight ethanol in today’s gasoline drying out the seal material. I swear that thing will outlast me. Built back when they made things out of steel not plastic.

Excellent waist bag from Cabela's. I've been using it for many years now, and it hasn't worn out at all and doesn't look shabby. I used it for hunting, fishing, and just for nature walks. It is comfortable, holds well on the body, and has several pockets. A water bottle, a walkie-talkie, ammo, a mobile phone, and more easily fit in this bag. There are similar models from different manufacturers on the market, but this bag is the best.

But Cabela's hasn't made them for a long time. A few years ago, I wanted to give a gift to my friend who likes this bag. I've been looking for the same one for a very long time. I was lucky to find such a new one on some forum, after which I presented it to a friend. And it's sad that many great things that have proven themselves are no longer being produced, and they are being replaced by less convenient and less reliable products.
I have and use that same belt. Cabela’s doesn’t carry quality sportsman’s supplies anymore, just cheap Chinese crap that Bass Pro shops buy. I still use wind proof wool sweaters I bought at Cabela’s.

Just about any Landcruiser built before 1996. I’ve owned TLCs since 1972 and still own two… world renowned reliability.

Another submission… the WingWorks upland hunting vest. Indestructable. Often copied but never equaled.

Like nothing more than disregarding the use by date…..I mean who here reads the small print wtf :ROFLMAO:
@Sideshow
When I go shopping I always look for meat that's marked down in price because the use by date is close to expire. I had someone ask me if I'm worried about using it in time. My reply was I hope I live long enough to use it. Their reply was but it's out of date tomorrow. Yeah so what I still hope to live long enough to eat it.

Dam you trying to give people whiplash with answers like that:ROFLMAO:

I think of it as merely a suggestion.
Apart from on blue cheese then you definitely need to eat it well after the used by!! Increase your gas’s production rateo_O

Especially the old diesels...although those short wheel base ones sure ride rough when you are sitting in the back!

The land cruiser need a lot of TLC(tender loving care) and aren't to be taken anywhere rougher than a dirt driveway to you house. Without a lot of TLC ( read maitanence and money) they will continually breakdown. Not as bad as a Landrover but not far off it.
Now a NISSAN 4X4 will handle anything you throw at it and not fail. My 1997 model has never broken down or got bogged. It has always got me where I wanted to go and home again.
I may never have broken down but it has stopped for unscheduled periodic matainance and temporarily lost forward momentum in some sticky situations but as I said never broken down or got bogged.
The Toyota is like a high demand wife. Pretty to look at, expensive and doesn't like to get dirty.

The Nissan on the other hand is like the plain Jane wife. Easy on the eye, cheap to keep and helps with the hard tasks. That why the Nissan rules the roost off and on road.

A good Stetson and case stockman
The Stetson I have on is 15 years old
The stockman no idea grandpa used it then dad.
@Flbt
Stetson may make a nice hat but give me a good Australian made AKUBRA hat. They are that good our Australian army has been using them for over 100 years for our famous army slouch hat that is recognised old wide.
Nothing looks worse than a ten gallon hat on a five gallon head.

They don't build thing to last anymore.
They have what is called built in obsolecence.
They are designed to fail after a certain period and after that good luck finding spare parts. They want you to buy the new model instead of repairing the old one.

Or worse yet - Big Hat, No Cows.

Plus wranglers are more comfortable and last just as long.
Negative!.... Modern Wranglers are POS(Mexico, Bangladesh & Vietnam) quality and they decreased the number of belt loops.

You want jeans that won't die = Round House

Hemmingway "Out of Africa" dinner for our clients

We love going the extra mile for our clients. The best feeling in the world is our clients going "Wow! this is amazing thank you"
Having had a successful hunt, having happy clients leave camp. There is nothing better.
Knowing that they will return again next year as a friend.
