Prime dates available in Zimbabwe for 2020 Elephant Bull .


Dates available arrive 23rd February Hunt 24th - 2nd March Depart 3rd March

Or 3rd April hunt 4th -13th Depart 14th April.

This is during the peak period when generally the Bulls are raiding crops , therefore harvesting one of these bulls could take place at night in the moonlight or starlight or as a conventional type hunt in the day track and stalk , it all depends on the situation and opportunity that presents itself at the time.

Expect mature bulls with ivory in the 30-50 lb range .

10 days minimum @ $ 750 a day
Trophy fee $10000
2% tax on total day rate and trophy fees.

Parks Scout fees $50 per day , only pay for days up until Bull is taken.

Observers $150 P/ Day

Transfer due to increased fuel hikes $200 this covers pickup from Bulawayo airport and return .

Concession fee $500. Covers all permits and camp hire plus local scouts where applicable.

Cites tag and registration of ivory $250

Trophy field prep / salting of hides and delivery to local taxidermist $850 per Elephant..No fee if you are not wanting all the hide and only wanting the Ivory/ feet and tail ..

I come up with a total of $20,150...a good deal if you can bring it home especially!
Only negative is it’s hot that time of year!
Hopefully I can do a hunt like this before I’m too old. This would be a grand hunt!

Hi Ridgewalker actually it’s less if you not bringing an observer or keeping the hide .. works out to $19300 . That is and could be less if you don’t use the Parks scout for the full 10 days..

Also consider this some areas are selling Ele hunts for triple this price .. You likely to pay $20000 on just the trophy fee ... granted they may take on average bigger bulls .. and they not all successful hunts either .. not saying I am but for sure I am close to 100% successful.. this year so far I am 5 for 5 ..
