Anyone know this dude, bought an action or gun from him?

I need three actions next year for a gunsmithing class I am taking. I want to use M70's, and he has some good prices on pre-64's.

I don't think I could buy two M70 classics or pre-Portugal CRF M70's for the price he has them for.

Was going to buy 3, and try to finish a 270, 338-06 and 400 Whelen/Petrov during the class.

What years would you concentrate on?

I was thinking late 50's. I have heard that things got rougher in 1960.

I sent a 1954 model 70 375 in a bit of disrepair to them for stock repair (hairline cracks in and around magwell and action screws), bedding, crossbolts, and new recoil pad and the work was top notch. Prices were well stated and reasonable. Work was done on time. They were responsive to questions

Based on my experience with their smith work I wouldn’t have any hesitation buying from them

There are literal books written on the topic of this the pre64 win and its variations (Roger rule, check Amazon) but I landed on post-war, pre 1960 as I was given to understand quality control dipped as they neared 1964 and some of the earlier variations are more rare leading to more difficulty finding parts

Overall I am pleased with my rifle

Thank you both.

It's a metal class not a stock maker class. So I am going to try and get enough projects together to get me through 2026.

Yes that’s a great website and good people.

He’s THE guy in old Winchesters. Super reputable, deals in lots of bulk-buy collections. 10/10 would recommend.

Yes sir. Have bought quite a bit from them over the years and all as described/graded. Have not looked at their site in years, but it was fairly basic/antiquated--but good people.

Hello,

I've bought parts from them a couple of times and everything was as advertised and shipped fast.

Good Luck,

I have bought several guns from them and also had them cross bolt my 375… great people to work with

I have bought parts from him and discussed a potential custom build. He is a stand up guy, and very busy....

I’ve bought a couple of little things so far.

So far so good. Comms really decent.

Where is this gunsmithing course?

Don’t know them personally but known enough guys who have dealt with them with great regard.

I've spent more money there than I'd like to admit. Always quality people and interactions and very helpful if you need it.

Trinidad College, NRA Summer program.

A lot of functional pieces with me moving back to America and timing that have to work for me to get to do it.

I have 6 weeks of home leave I have to take care of before I return to the USA full time. They won't let you do it in conjunction with your move back to the USA. So It's going to be an expensive few weeks at Trinidad if I can get it timed out.

Would buy from them without hesitation

Great news, I will contact him once I have everything sorted with a follow on assignment and know where that stuff needs to be shipped.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
