Pre-64 M70 Rebuild Ideas

What about 9.3x62? Great classic and flexible African caliber. Whatever you decide it sounds like it will end up being a nice rifle. I have a transitional 70 in 30/06 that is out at Pre64win getting upgraded, cant wait to get it back.

Re-barrel to .416 Remington. Don't hold back, Go with a real outright working rifle and order a Boyd's Classic Laminated stock in their Forrest Camo colour. Include NECG peep sight, a slightly oversized polished brass front bead. Lastly install a pair of Uncle Mike quick release sling swivels to the Stock.

Add -
Limbsaver recoil pad
Black forend and grip cap
Skipline checkering
2 crossbolts
Second and forward fitted recoil lug on the underside of the barrel

Any cartridge with the word “Remington” attached to it would be complete heresy in that fine Winchester rifle[emoji1]. H&H…now that has a ring to it…I like the .400 variant. Modern yet classic.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
