First venture into this thread.
It does a heart good.
Sometimes God allows adversity in order to focus us on something other than what has been consuming us...a re-direct of sorts.
We know God's will is always accomplished...no one can stay His hand.
What we don't always know is...just what is God's will in a particular instance?
We do know that God wants us to know Him and to know the One He sent. His will is for us to be conformed into the image of His dear Son.
We know that all things work together for good...even those things that to our finite mind, seem so bad. As His children, we don't have to worry that He is going to ultimately forsake us.
We trust God with our eternal soul. We can trust Him with this perishing body. But more importantly, we can trust that His promises are sure and we can rest in them.
When your mind wants to worry, remember God's goodness, His faithfulness, and His sovereign power. Then trust Him to carry you and your dear wife through this, into greater faith and greater fellowship - with each other and with Him!
God's richest blessing to you. May your faith and the faith of all who witness be sustained and strengthened through this trial and may this episode be used by God to glorify Himself!
