Powder Hoarders Club

I been using H4227 in my Ruger 44mag auto carbine and recorded 1753fps with it groups aren't that great but hell it's an Auto Loader with a Short Barrel, H110 is a Little Hotter so I'm waiting to see how much of an Improvement the new powder will make

H110 is the bomb in the 44 Mag (no pun intended!).

I was using H4895 in my 270 gr, but after dicking around all Summer with everything from 200gr on up I decided to go only with 300gr But I have my rifle set-up with quick disconnect mounts and 2 scopes, one at 100 and one at 200 depending if I go for Buff or plains game all I need to do is switch scopes

unfortunately in South Africa we are only allowed a certain amount of powder otherwise i would have an entire basement filled with stock. Nothing worse than running out of powder and not finding the same batch...all your reloading data gone

Is is also true that you are (by law) only allowed 200 rounds of any given cartridge/caliber?

Yup the rules are pretty harsh here if you are just a normal gun owner, but luckily as a PH and dedicated hunter i am allowed allot more that the average joe

I probably have enough Firearms to Arm a small Police Force, and the Ammunition to go along with it,,but I'm your typical Rich Spoiled American

I'm a retired old working class American and I also resemble that remark.

My neighbor who is a retired state patrolman looked at my reloading setup one time and mentioned that he needs to keep a eye out on my home because of the amount of ammo and powder that I have. I did tell a good friend that is the chief at the local fire department which side of my home to stay away from if it ever catches fire. :Wideyed:

My wife has had a serious attitude adjustment to guns/ammo/components since Barry and Company have taken over.

Needless to say, she has become an enabler!

I'd swap every lb of powder, bullet, primer and brass for another African safari, I have just save me 20rds of 375 and 20 rds of 257WBY

Did a little loading tonight (308 piggy loads...170gr Nosler Partition RN at 2,400 fps) and decided to take powder inventory.

214 pounds, 25 different powders.

My philosophy of replacing everything I shoot with 2x is paying off. The component stash is growing nicely.

I have 18,000 jacketed bullets, too! :)

I am 22 Mag poor though. I just bought my Dad a Ruger LCR in 22 Mag and cannot find ammo in Houston or online (except for the gougers...and I won't buy from them).

May have to trade loading components for 22 Mag!

And that gets very expensive very fast!

Cheap and 404 do not go together!

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
