The springbok is probably a “better” trophy, but I really enjoyed hunting gemsbok more.

I love hunting in red sand. Both the gemsbok and the springbok are very good trophies.

I was able to take these animals last year in Namibia. Buff was 40 inches, sable was 43.5 inches, bushbuck was 16 inches and lechwe was 29 inches. Very pleased with all of them. Also killed a gemsbok, giraffe, nyala and baboon on that safari as well.

That’s just an unbelievable bushbuck. I’d take it over almost anything if had opportunity.

Two twelve foot and one thirteen foot alligators sept 23 on my commercial alligator tags. Taken with Limcroma aug 23, big old buff, 55 inch kudu, 36 inch gemsbok and good representation impala.

Don't retract it! Two years hunting it? "Size made no difference, only time, effort and preserverance". THAT makes it YOUR trophy! To HELL what anyone else thinks or cares! One my ONE African PG hunt, I too took a Mtn. Reedbuck. I couldn't tell you what it measured and I don't care because I worked for it.

That IS a monster Cape Kudu! Crazy deep curls. That’s a great Eland bull too. Well done.

My best and favorite five .......

My first buffalo (almost 43") taken while wading around the Caprivi with Driese Alberts and Jamy Traut. One shot and dropped in his tracks. Always use enough gun! - 300 gr TSX from a .375 is just about perfect.

Two great Eland. The Cape Eland with Jamy on the same safari, and the Livingstone with Mashambanzou in Mozambique.

The 45"+ sable that I will never better with our own @spike.t Mike Taylor, @PeteG Peter Goneos, and Andrew Baldry at Takeri in Zambia. And the gold medal bull blue duiker taken with the same friends on the same hunt representing the culmination of a hunt for a mature bull with a rifle over 20+ days on three previous safaris in two different countries.

And a non African honorable mention. An ancient SCI gold medal Beceite Ibex from Spain, and my longest shot at a game animal.

Some great animals being posted! It can be hard to decide on the top five and then how to rank them. Maybe I should have asked for the top ten! Anyway, here’s my attempt:

76 pound elephant

31” bongo

47” sable

30.5” waterbuck

15’ croc

Some others that could have made my top 5 were a puku, lesser kudu, suni and Kafue lechwe but hard to know how to rank them!?!
