just based on these ads, if I were a betting man, the future is bleak for the US military superiority.
In the end, no matter how much technology you heap into it, wars are fought by hard men & women.
Rainbows, feelings and ideology have no place in the military world.
What's next?

Mass expansion of nerf gun production? :E Dozing Off:

Somewhere along the way the army forgot that its primary purpose is to kill people and to break shit..

The object of the military is to DEFEND AND KILL. There is no place for wusses and do gooders. As a retired lifer it sickens me to read and hear this gutless whimpering. Whoever came up with that should be forced to do a hitch in a real nasty outfit.

Seems to me that there have been several cultures that tried the system of expecting Nice to be returned for Nice- Those that do also believe in the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus and Princes disguised as Frogs. And most of those that do generally change their beliefs when they reach adulthood- those that don't become Democrats.

Oh Lord - even the Army has decided to go with woke recruiting now. Comparison of newest US and Russian recruitment ads.

This is terrible. I bet you that the soldier in this video didn't go into the army to plant flowers and do macrame. She probably considers herself as hard as nails and wanted that challenge. So, why alienate so many people with this Disney ad? I suspect the idiot who authorized it was told to appeal to a different demographic and it was their own stereotypes of who that demographic is that formed the idea. The gay people I have met who served are as tough as anyone. I can't imagine they would be impressed by this. This is just bad bad bad on so many levels.

PC Culture. G. Edward Griffin interviews former KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov (1984)

Here is the FULL INTERVIEW with Yuri Bezmenov: The Four Stages of Ideological Subversion (1984)

So true. That interview took place nearly 40 years ago and look where we are today. His predictions are in full force with the current "administration." In just over 5 months everything positive President Trump accomplished has virtually been destroyed and replaced by a socialist welfare state.

The education system is no longer in effect, it is now indoctrination, and has been for the last 20 years or more judging from the caliber of the current socalled leaders.

The work ethic has been pretty much eliminated by all the freebies and handouts. Why work when there is more to be had from welfare and unemployment. More than half the states pay more per hour for welfare than the minimum wage.

Unreasonable demands by minorities and dissidents are kowtowed to and common criminals are treated as heroes. Historical values are minimized and reminders are destroyed with impunity. And no one does anything because most people under the age of 60 are victims of the indoctrination and brainwashing Bezmenov so explicitly explained.

The sad thing about the whole welfare state thing is that it is the result of policies implemented by people who had solid work ethic and the thought that someone would be satisfied to be dependent on the state by choice was beyond their scope of understanding. Had FDR and his advisors been able to look ahead 90 years and see the massive system of government payments and subsidies presently in place I'm fairly certain that they would have developed a safety-net system that didn't provide the incentives and punishments currently in place.

One of the present "big ideas" is the UBI- uniform basic income- and that is a great idea- the problem is that it is 90 years too late. Had FDR opted for the UBI instead of the massive bureaucracy it is my belief that the War of Poverty would have bee won long ago. All that was needed was to set an income per adult citizen such that his/her "basic" needs would be met. this would be paid per person without regard for marital status or living arrangement. Citizens age 0 -17 would receive a prorated amount. There would be no reduction due to other income received by the person, so a person could get a job and keep both the after taxes portion of his/her earnings and the UBI.

Conservatives claim that this is not fiscally possible- but it would have been entirely possible- had it been implemented in 1933. It is not possible now because it would be a safety net that is in lieu of all the other programs- no AFDC, TNAF, Section 8 housing, HUD, HHS and all of the other "entitlement" programs- Now there is no way that those systems would be allowed to disband, either by those that receive the benefits or those whos jobs it is to administer the programs.

At this point my fear is that the current administration is spending money with no idea as to how quickly and how thoroughly reality will strike and when it does, all the programs on Earth will not be sufficient to prevent the calamity that will occur.

Too Bad they were allowed to lead everyone down the road to perdition and the ones that gave warning were ridiculed.

Most people have no real understanding of the history of NAFTA, the president included. If they did, they’d take an entirely different approach.

Regarding tariffs, in the long run, should the course progress as it has, it’ll prove that America is not the big dog long thought (which should be obvious, when one considers the extent to which we rely upon the balance of the world in order to maintain our assumed position).

Regarding the quality of American firearms, the business model of every firm involved is markedly different from that of the esteemed English and Continental makers. This is entirely due to the history of each. In the Old World, the better gunmaking firms arose to meet the demand of aristocracy and landed gentry. Your average person could not afford them then, and your average person cannot afford them now. In America, every gunmaking firm arose to meet the demand of the common citizen. Wonderful, one-offs were on occasion produced, but they were definitely the exception rather than the rule. And the same has held true to the present day.

Regarding Ruger rifles, I have two and happen to quite like each...incredible value for the money, in particular the RSM!
If there was a President who wasn't a far-left anti-American with shady financial deals involving America's enemies, who runs a Stasi state, it would be different. Being the worst President since Obama has consequences for law-abiding citizens.

Well said Newboomer!

Oh, Sleepy Joe is much worse than Obama in my opinion. I think Obama actually formed independent thoughts occasionally, where Biden's thoughts are influenced by the left wing socialists/Marxists puppet masters pulling his strings. What makes him especially detrimental to our country, is that he has no future political ambitions and there is no reason for him to compromise on anything he does not want to. He only ran for president because he hated Trump and promised his son he would run to defeat Trump and his policies.

Have you noticed the trend that the most disastrous presidents in the last 50 or so years have been democrats with the possible exception of Ford? Carter, Clinton, Obama, Biden. Seems each succeeding one is much worse than the one before. Gonna be interesting to see what happens in 2024. If the current two term trend continues we'll have sleepy joey bin biden for another four years.

I think the 2022 mid terms could be the largest turnover from Demorats to Republicans in the history of Congressional mid terms. The Independent voters who hated Trump and voted for Biden, are seeing the fruitions of their decision and it's only starting. A couple of more multi trillion dollar "stimulus" packages and our economy will be toast. When inflation and thus interest rates (in an attempt to curb inflation) skyrocket by then due to the flood of free money and gas hits $3.50-$4.00/gallon, voters will realize what a disaster Biden's policies have been. And I don't think Biden can physically/mentally make it through his first term? He already speaks and looks like he's incapacitated much of the time. Just my 2 centavos!

I disagree on that- Gerald Ford was in a tough position. Much like this last election the country was divided and each side considered the other side as an enemy. So he did what he could to salve the differences and then handed the reins over to Carter, who while continuing the efforts to put the conflict behind us was too much of a follower, particularly of bad advice. So at the time, Carter got the title of worst president in modern history, but he didn't have the title very long.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
