Fk me
It really makes you wonder what failure of leadership/organization makes that happen. Are they not paid and equip well enough? Are they not trained properly?

Properly led/trained majority local/black units have had great results in a number of conflicts in Africa.

The Selous Scouts, 32 Battalion, Koevoet, all spring to mind as performing really well and were made up of primarily of locals.
You really haven't a clue..comparing them to ....well the ones being talked about

Actually it wasn't a comparison, it was a question. A question premised on the obvious difference in quality between the two groups.

One wonders how one gets other african units up to those standards. That was kind of the point right?

Oddly enough I have been to several African countries. I work with Africans, hire Africans and have worked for African governments. I could go on, but bragging is bad form.

I guess your answer is just that South African natives are just magically superior to Nigerian and other native peoples or some nebulous comment about the good old days or some such.

I think that is wonderful that you have associated with Africans. But I suspect you know absolutely nothing about the military - Africa or much of anywhere else. The units you listed were indeed excellent, and were all extremely well trained and led. However, all had a distinct, however uncomfortable, difference with respect to any military units south of the Sahara today.

As far as I know main stream media has not done anything as in depth as this so far regarding fraud in Minnesota.

Kudos to the kid for doing what the msm won’t.

I have never had the pleasure of visiting Somalia but everyone I have talked to that has said calling it a "shithole" was a compliment. It appears the US has welcomed the best and brightest from that country.

Plan Colombia started off pretty small and had a very significant impact on stability in the country because the permissions and money existed.
I am the Hiroo Onoda of Plan Colombia. Until Higgins or RR say I can go, I will stay here and continue to win hearts and minds. I am organizing a sobriety resistance movement at one of the cantinas this weekend. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

My most powerful opposition, code name "Mama" is the only thing preventing me and my followers from complete control of the country. She often limits my permissions. Well, code name "Parcero" is texting me on WhatsApp and said they are waiting for me in "Ron con Coma". "Mama" will not capture me sober!

If I made someone laugh, mission successful. If I made someone angry, I also consider that mission success. Best wishes to all for a safe, healthy and hunt filled 2026.

Happy Holidays

I’m assuming you’re talking about Higgins, K. COL (1) each?

Great freaking guy.. one of my favorite humans…

He worked for us in Honduras until he finally fully retired a few years back and went home to Florida.

We had a former Lancero SNCO named “Alex” that also worked for us in Honduras.. he and Higgins had been together on different jobs off and on for I think almost 20 years…

Alex is among my favorite Colombians (second only to Mama :) )…

Mmm.....not a great comment by the Donald

Repeat after me: Putin doesn't want peace.

Also:

Trump is either ego driven and butt hurt, or Putin really does have something on him.

Nothing will come of tomorrow's meeting. They will be no closer to peace than they were on the day Russia invaded.

This is like a Hallmark movie. The plot is always the same, and the ending is predictable.

It so sad that Trump is so firmly in Putins camp. And even sader that Putin says that Russia will use force of arms if the negotiations fails again, what have Russia been doing for four years if not using force of arms to the best of their abilities?

The problem is the administration and not Congress. The Navy has been prepared to announce the down-select since last February (Boeing or Northrop Grumman). The White House has delayed the selection. Perhaps because Navy aviation hasn't come up with a clever way to evoke Trump's name like the P47 or Trump Class Battleship?
Could name it Corn Pop!!!!!!!!

I think it’s ego…

He hates Z…

Z has given Trump plenty of reasons to not like him…

Trump can’t see past his personal distaste, even if it’s for the betterment of the region and/or the world at large..

Of course there’s some ego problems with Z as well…

Putin has figured out the game… you can defy trump..but you can’t intentionally insult or make fun of him..

Z openly supported not just Harris and Biden, but other key dems in the last election (definitely called that shot completely wrong).. he’s made derogatory comments about trump publicly.. he attempted to renegotiate a dons deal that he knew trump was touting on national tv…

If he expects to get back into trumps good graces, he has a lot of ass kissing and groveling to do… and is going to have to “give up” something substantial in the process… trumps ego won’t allow otherwise..

Trump can get pissed and reunite with past “enemies”… there was a time he and DeSantis hated each other… Cruz and he hated each other… Rubio and he hated each other… they’ve all figured out a way to move forward (largely with Rubio, Cruz, and DeSantis changing, and trump remaining stalwart).. he even had a fallout with Elon that recovered reasonably quickly..

Z doesn’t appear to be willing to make the same moves..

He might deceased to negotiate with now.. but he hasn’t done nearly enough butt kissing to satisfy trump yet..

That’s sadly going to be the only thing that moves things the other direction with trump

^^^^ Add entrenched agencies in Trumps ear.

“ Mr. President, remember it’s not such a bad thing if Putin thinks he is in the drivers seat and can win or get what he wants. Who cares if he gets more Ukrainian land if it completely collapses Russia financially and militarily”.

Not a popular position… but… it’s an understandable one if that’s what is really going on..

3 years ago a lot of people were touting the value of the Russian war machine being turned to rubble and the Russian economy getting kicked in the ass while at the same time reducing Ukrainian corruption and global cyber crime (the Ukrainians WERE (past tense) among the best and most prolific cyber criminals on earth until they started dying by the dozens daily)…

Fast forward to today and the brutality of this sort of warfare becomes evident to the world, and analysis of the value Ukraine can bring to the rest of the world becomes more apparent (rare earth minerals, resilient people, et )…

But I can almost guarantee that a combination of war hawks and sycophants are advising him daily to not let Putin outright win… but also not support Z enough to gain momentum.. and let the two must continue to grind each other to dust for another year or two

My problem with that thesis is - were that the case, he would be more actively supplying Zelensky with the materiel necessary to prolong the war indefinitely.

I think it is more an issue of Trump viewing Zelensky, and by extension Ukraine and the EU, as impediments to the relationship he wants to forge with Putin.

I don’t have any solid info. Like most. It’s more of a curiosity on why things have progressed the way they did in Ukraine.

My guess is it’s a little of each. He does not like Zelenskyy. Thinking back to the Biden/Burisma corruption and Trumps phone call that led to Impeachment in the House.

So does not want to help him. But knows he needs to so as Obama and Biden did before. He slowly, reluctantly seems to give Ukraine just enough to keep stringing Putin along.

I think we all know if Ukraine was handed what they needed. Ukraine would’ve destroyed Russia a year ago, but that wouldn’t have drug it out long enough to completely collapse the military.

So maybe it’s an all of the above “strategy” ?

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
