I'm sure the Trumplodites find her common sense repugnant. But the people of Alaska, a famously Republican state, thought enough of her to put her back in office. They had a choice. That makes her the bona fide Republican senator from Alaska. If she was so reviled by all of Alaska Republicans for somehow sneaking on the ballot, they should have been able to put up a successful write-in candidate. I believe her trade mission to Canada is sanctioned by US govt, either Trump or Congress? Both are Republican.
I find it refreshing that Murkowski doesn't blindly vote straight party every time. Similarly I respect any Democrat legislator who votes his conscience (and his state's best interest) ahead of party line dictates. This blind partisan bullshit is killing democracy.
Murkowski's current "relationship" with the Republican party goes back to 2010 when Sarah Palin and the Tea Party supported Joe Miller.Murkowski, quite literally TODAY went to the press complaining how she got "played" by the R party (not her friends, and not her party any longer) on the Big Beautiful Bill..
I guess if you can’t get a beautiful woman because you’re attractive and/or you’re interesting and you can curl her toes, you can always buy the company of one. Pathetic and no game. This is nothing new. My next door neighbor at Newport Beach, CA (in the late 1990s and early 2000s) used to pay tuition and expenses along with the use of a Porsche 911 of a college co-ed that lived with him. When one graduated, she'd pass him onto one of her friends. We used to joke that he had a scholarship program for UCI co-eds.
To be honest that is not that much different than dating. You buy gifts, pay for travel and dates etc., etc..
If you decide to stick with just one, then you marry her to guarantee sole access and still keep paying.
Thank God for the Senate. The Senate insulates us against simple majority rule, as does the Electoral College. It’s no coincidence that Senators from two of the least populated states are Senate leaders.Who does she caucus with again?

You better run and have the party correct the error on their website then.
She only wins because she sucks up to the “natives” and Anchorage liberals for votes.you might want to do a little research... assigning homework to others when you clearly havent done any yourself is a bit ridiculous dont you think?
Murkowski may call herself a Republican.. that doesnt mean she actually is one any longer..
She doesnt caucus with the Republican party, the Republican party does not endorse her any longer, and as recently as 3 weeks ago she went public stating she was giving consideration to caucusing with the Democrats from now on..

Murkowski opens up about pressure to caucus with Democrats and her call with Trump
The Alaska Republican talked to Semafor ahead of the Tuesday release of her new book, “Far From Home.”www.semafor.com
During the Obama Administration she voted with D's 72% of the time..
During the Biden Administration she voted with D's 67% of the time.
Only Collins has voted left more often than Murkowski of all currently serving people that call themselves R's..
Even more interesting about Murkowski than her declaring herself a Republican when it is very clear that she much more often supports Democrat legislation actions is just what a total waste of breath of a Senator she actually has been...
Shes been in office since 2003.. in 22 years she has introduced legislation exactly ZERO times that has been passed into law..
It amazes me that AK continues to put her into office.. she literally has accomplished next to nothing in 22 years other than getting on TV to run her suck a couple of times a year about how much she hates whatever initiative the R party is taking..
Is it a strike out?Trump's ambassador to Canada is striking out ... again. As Dutch ambassador during Trump's first administration, his racist comments (which he later tried to deny with lies) and catering (literally) to far right racist groups disgusted his host country. Then there was his tawdry racist stereotyping campaign ad when running for US senator in Michigan. Very handy at shooting himself in the foot. Now he's claiming Trump's 51st state rhetoric is a "term of endearment." Whaaat? Oh, and Canadians are "nasty" people for retaliating against tarrifs with travel and booze boycotts. So we are just supposed to take that bullying bullshit lying down? But of course the booze boycott has no effect on him. He brags on air about smuggling booze across the border undeclared. "They never check my car." Wow! Where does Trump find this trash? Oh yeah, he drained the swamp ... so he could mine the mud.

No one in Russia will care. Now what is his family going to do?
Concur…No one in Russia will care.

Ranked choice did not put her there. In every election since 2010 Murkowski would have won even if Alaska had retained first-past-the-post voting. In the last general election her other Republican opponent allowed on the general election ballot because of the change to ranked choice voting narrowly lost to Murkowski ... but Murkowski won the primary against her by more than 12,000 votes which is a lot in an Alaska election. But unfortunately, with new ranked choice voting it was not enough votes to eliminate the other Republican candidate because there was sixteen other candidates on the primary ballot (plus only one Democrat) who took enough votes to keep either candidate from getting more than 50% of the votes and eliminating her competitor from the general elction ballot. But Murkowski still won the popular vote. I have a feeling that her failure to tow the Trump line will reap big benefits for her in the next election."But the people of Alaska, a famously Republican state, thought enough of her to put her back in office. They had a choice. That makes her the bona fide Republican senator from Alaska."
You're still not paying attention... Ranked choice put her there. I guarantee you if it had been straight up Republicans voting, Kelly Tshibaka would be serving in Washington, not Lisa.
honestly , why this post at all , didnt Dr, phill cover this. yea I know I dont have to read itThat 80% making $150 or less get into it thinking it will be easy money and find the hard reality that they have to actually work at it, the girls making big money have social media managers and constantly creating content.... just like there are many more women who try stripping and drop out because it's much more work and far less glamours than they imagined.
It's seen as the easy way to get the designer bags and high end cars they believe they deserve, but reality comes out and they drop out; the same can be said for the absurdly high income women have for dating, they largely want someone making $250K plus but fail to realize the limited number of men who make that much money.
So again it's not attention seeking, it's an attempt(more often failed than not) to take the easy way out to high income; as for your Chris Rock reference; you'd be surprised how many of those sugar babies and onlyfans models come from upper middle to high income families with good parents.....
Dated one graduate student in Austin, only to find out she was a sugar baby and seeing much older men because her surgeon father wouldn't buy her the Louis Vuitton bags and the new AMG Mercedes she wanted and a large swath of her socialite sorority sisters were doing the same.
My buddy is currently dating a legitimate beauty pageant queen that went to a large state university and I brought up the sugar baby thing to her and she fervently agreed....
"Oh yeah, I'd say almost a third of my better looking sorority sisters were doing that!"
Yep, all you young men get you some game, lay down your money and take your chances.
Thats just sad and dumb, reminds me of young women marrying ISIS FIGHTERS a few years back. This is a rather pathetic story of one of the unintended consequences of the Russo/Ukraine war. The Huffman family were ordinary very conservative Christians from Texas, whose head of household spent far too much time on the bias confirmation edge of the internet. With respect to the war, it is a virtual domain heavily populated by pro-Russian bots, influencers, and propagandists. One of the propaganda messages often repeated there is that Putin and Russia are valiantly fighting against the LGBTQ plague sweeping Europe, the US, and, of course, Ukraine.
In one of the more tragic examples of non-critical thinking emerging from the conflict, Derek Huffman, the father, concluded Russia would be the ideal nation and culture in which to raise his family. For a time they chronicled their transition to the Slavic paradise on line.
Hoping to speed up the process of obtaining citizenship, Derek signed a contract with the Russian Army after being promised he would not be deployed to combat. Instead, he received the typical two-weeks of training (!!) and was deployed to the front and was assigned to an assault unit where he has subsequently vanished.
Not only is the family left without a husband and father, but they have received nothing in the way of compensation from the Russian government.
